Ember Sliding Lid, Splash-Proof Ember Mug Lid Compatible with First and Second Generation Ember Mugs, 14 oz, (CMSL1412GL)

I bought this lid to use with my 14 oz metallic Ember Mug2. The quality of the lid is good. It fits my mug really well. The silicon o-ring makes the fit nice and snug. And it’s easy to clean. I find it keeps my coffee hotter throughout the mug, instead of the coffee just being hotter at the bottom of the cup more than the top. And it also preserves a little battery life. All that being said, I would call the lid more splash-proof than spill-proof. When my mug tips over, liquid leaks from the closed sippy slider on top of the lid. It leaks out slowly, but when it’s coffee spilling into and the cup holders in the center console of your car, any amount is problematic. Also, if my mug dropped onto a hard surface, I’m pretty sure the lid would pop off. So yeah, not spill-proof, but definitely splash-proof because the lid fits nice and snug. Overall, though, this is a very useful accessory for an Ember mug, and I’m glad I decided to buy it.

Why didn't I get this sooner?Perfect fit and seal.On my 14oz Ember, which used to keep coffee warm for about 60-70 min, it now keeps it warm for 2+ hours!As long as the sliding piece is in the closed position, keeps all liquids in even in a bumpy truck cup holder. Yes, it still gets a little outside, but thanks to the lids design, what little that does escape stays inside the lid.Great deal and the perfect add on one to a great coffee mug!

These ember lids fit perfectly on our 14 ounce ember cups. They look great and you can get them in different colors so it’s easy to see which cup is yours. They go on or off easily. They help to keep your drink warm longer. Good quality! Great purchase!

Have you ever had a product experience so good that it stopped you in your tracks and made you go, "Oh! Wow, that's really nice!" That's this.I'm surprised to be writing a five-star review for this, because when I placed my order, I was bitter about the cost. It is, after all, a LID. Heck, why didn't the mug come with a lid in the first place? Then I got it and used it.I really appreciate the design of the Ember mug's lid, and now I want one for my 10oz mug, too. Specifically, the way the edge or lip of the lid is contoured makes for a really comfortable drinking experience. You don't really tend to think about what would be ergonomic for your lips - I sure didn't - until I used this.I also really love that the sip-hole slide cover pops off completely, super easily, for cleaning. We've all used sip-thru lids that get uncomfortably gunky. This makes it incredibly easy to avoid that entirely, and I love the ease of cleaning and use.It forms a good, strong seal with my mug, so now I don't have to worry about curious kitten paws making their way into my coffee. I bought the model for my 14oz Ember Mug 2 and it fits flawlessly.

Lid fits well and does a good job helping keep your coffee hot and the Ember battery charged.The silicone gasket gets stained over time. I have tried to locate a replacement gasket to no avail.For the price of the Ember products, lids should be included.

I bought myself an ember for my birthday and its just the greatest thing but as soon as it got here i thought, i need a lid! i was using it in the office and didn't want to risk getting coffee on any documents, i'm very clumsy like that, so a quick search let me know that these lids existed and i immediately got one, works great, make sure to remove the slider when washing, also consider it might get scratched if hand washing, mine got a little scratched but it's fine, it's still serving its purpose.

I’m often skeptical about “add on” or “accessory” items for products, but this is an exception!This lid seals incredibly well, and extends the life of the battery by at least half!I love that each lids comes with multiple color tabs that remove easily for cleaning.We’ve placed our lid in the dishwasher multiple times and it hasn’t compromised the integrity of the seals or the lid.For the money, this is an incredible steal at adding value to your ember mug.I bought one for my husband as a stocking stuffer, not really expecting a huge difference, and was so pleasantly surprised I bought a second one for myself!
