Gold Plated 18k Elvish Script Tungsten Carbide Unisex Laser-Etched Wedding Ring Band- 7mm (8)

I've had this review for over 2 weeks and worn it almost every day. It's my mistake, but I had a cheap One Ring someone gave me when I was 14 that was engraved instead of just having the script drawn over the outer side.... so I was expecting it to be engraved, although it doesn't appear that way in the image. So I was a little disappointed that it's not engraved. And it literally looks like a wedding band, with the script on it hardly being visible, so not what I was going for. I got it to wear on my ring finger. Since I am single, and actually bought this as a gift to myself after getting broken up with, this was clearly one of my stupider ideas. LOL. But I've always wanted to get My Preciousss back. ;) It is real gold, which is why it looks exactly like a wedding band. I went for drinks with my ex to talk about stuff one night and she almost immediately noticed my ring and asked if I got married over the weekend. I told her I married myself. She said it looked exactly like a wedding ring (as others told me), and I asked her if she recognized the script on it, which she hadn't even noticed. She looked closely and was like, "Arabic?" I told her it was Elvish and she told me I was weird. Good times... (she hasn't seen or read LotR)Now, who would actually want the One Ring as their wedding ring (to anyone but themselves, or Sauron, or an Orc) is beyond me.I would not purchase this ring again, at least not for my ring finger. It does fit on my index finger, but only goes back just behind the knuckle and is difficult to remove from that one. I recommend looking for something with an engraving. That being said, it would be a perfectly awesome ring for the price if it didn't happen to look almost exactly like 95% of wedding rings.

My wife purchased this ring for me to replace my wedding band. I was a bit skeptical of how the ring would look, especially with the etching.When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised! The ring has a very nice finish and the etching is very subtle, so unless you look closely you can't even tell it's there from afar.So far, the ring has slipped off my finger a couple of times, including one time into our garbage disposal. It survived, and didn't even get a scratch.I suspect the ring can only be destroyed by enduring a long and arduous journey on foot to Mt. Doom, and then only once you cast it into the fires of the mountain. I cannot do that, though. This ring is precious to me.

Great ring. You really couldn't ask for a better replica. The writing is subtle, but easy to read. This creates a little more of the hidden writing effect, so really desirable to me. The ring has also proven to be much hardier than expected, especially based on some contrary reviews. I was drying my hands and some how managed to send the ring flying straight down on the tile floor. It hit the tile and made a loud 'ting' sound and then bounced straight back up and I caught it. Couldn't do that again if I planned it. The ring is still perfect. I wear it almost every day and it has been banged on metal doors, handles, wood hand rails, washed in a variety of soaps and also exposed to other animal and people safe chemicals and products. If you like LOTR at all or just want a cool looking ring this is a must buy. I'm looking at buying more as gifts. I get all kinds of compliments on it.

This is 'My Precious!' I have now worn this every day for three months. I badly bent my 20 yr old wedding band and this was a runner-up replacent; having lost a different tungsten ring after one day, I told my wife to try this.I decided I would not be getting emotionally attached to my ring from this point on, maybe swooping them out each year for fun. The ring is comfort fit on the inside, gold plated, then etched somehow 'magically'. The elvish writing is obvious to me, and I can see it when I'm wearing, but it's so subtle that not one person noticed the etching in 3 months. I was able to hide the inner nerd. The ring is heavy and has not scratched at all even when I've felt like it took a few hits, no sign of wear. The gold has held up great! I could box it up and it would appear new.Can't find anything wrong with it except it doesn't turn me invisible.

Seriously, a beautiful ring.I bought the first one because I had wanted a "One Ring" since the early 1980s when I was in college. You couldn't get a jeweller to make one back then for less than five hundred bucks (gold was actually cheap in 1981, but engraving was not).I eventually bought three of these rings. I ordered the wrong size the first time so the elvish ring didn't fit my pointer finger (like our hero, Frodo). But, it was so beautiful that I had to have one that I could wear. I ordered two more of them - because I had to get one for my twin who is a bigger Tolkien fan than I am. The engraving is exquisite. The gold plating makes the ring look exactly like a wedding band because the engraving is subtle under indoor lighting. In daylight, however, you can see the etchings of Mordor quite blatantly. How cool is that?

Perfect! I ordered this ring for my husband. I haven't surprised him with it yet but I thought I'd still write my review anyhow. I ordered this and not even three days later I received my ring! It was the fastest, best service. I am so pleased. I opened the package and when I first saw the ring I honestly was a bit jealous this would be my husbands ring and not my own. It's so awesome and the weight of it is perfect. I love the script and would say this is an awesome replica and perfect for any fan! Even my kids thought it was the coolest thing they'd ever seen.
