Too transparent
The sample color in the description is the right color BUT not solid !!After 5 coats it still is transparent and still shows the wood grain ,not what I wanted .It looks like a Squire not a Fender OOOH well guess I'll have to live with it don't feel likestarting over :-(

Great product / Darker than you think
Very easy to apply and it went on smooth. I'll buy from this maker again.CAUTION: This Butterscotch is darker than what is traditionally thought of as "butterscotch". I used this on my alder-body guitar and it was almost a dark amber (think Dos Equis Amber). I imagine if I'd used it on an ash body it would have been closer to that traditional butterscotch finish.

but a very cool color. Can be used to simulate aged lacquer
Seems to be just the same color as neck amber. Definitely not butterscotch blonde, but a very cool color. Can be used to simulate aged lacquer.

Not what i was looking for in a Butterscotch
Doesnt disperse well and way too transparent.I would say may work well over a solid white primer or base coat.

Applies easily, great color
This isn't the traditional semi-opaque butterscotch blonde you expect; it's more the look of real butterscotch candy. I really like the color but it's not the traditional butterscotch so keep that in mind. The paint applies smoothly with no globs or cut-outs of the nozzle. You can apply it in thin layers to build the level of intensity you want. This is an excellent paint that I enjoyed working with. I'll buy this brand again.

Not Buterscotch
The color doesn't look like any color ever put on a Fender guitar. I tried spraying it over ash and then over blond sprayed ash. Not even close to Fender Butterscotch in either case. If that is the color you are looking for go elsewhere.

NOT FENDER BUTTERSCOTCH BLONDE
If you're looking for that iconic early-50's Butterscotch Blonde for your Tele project.... LOOK ELSEWHERE.This is NOT butterscotch, it looks identical to the Ohio Valley neck amber. Save yourself the heartache and buy from ReRanch, StewMac or Gracey's.
