Nelson's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Bible Facts Hardcover – January 1, 1995

I am so happy with this book. It has so much information that I am so excited about learning and using when I teach! Fantastic book and great quality and price!

As always, Amazon ships its wares quickly and packages them sanely for arrival in excellent condition. The book is written giving the author's point of view of Biblical history and character studies to strengthen his religious leanings. His ideas of the Sabbath are way off base Claiming Sunday or any day you choose is alright. He forgot or never read where Gad said this is forever, "throughout your generations." I question a number of other things his religion says is true. Mostly the book is a good one, just "prove all things" by comparing what he says about religious leanings in the book with other books. Historical facts can be proved in books like "Ancient Near Eastern Texts Relating To The Old Testament" and its companion "The Ancient Near East in Pictures" by Pritchard which shows pictures of artifacts discovered in that part of the world.Again, overall it is fairly good book and makes a good addition to your Biblical studies library.

I like this book a lot. I was glade that that I bought one. Very informative.

Excellent resource for background information about Biblical People, Places, and Things. Understanding such information is vital for proper interpretation of the Scriptures. Nelson's produces some of the finest extra-biblical resources available today.

Great not just for bible facts, but also facts about the culture of the time.

A dictionary format would be easier when researching specific things, not divided by types of facts.Now I have to purchase a Bible Dictionary.

Very helpful and interesting information. Provides all the illustrations and picture to help you find what you are looking for excellent resources.

Nice illustrations, however, on page 3 they mis-identify Canaan as Noah's son rather than his grandson, making me wonder if the authors read the Bible before writing this book.
