A journey unlike any other
Wow. Where do I start? This book was EVERYTHING! It was sweet, romantic, funny and real. A story of overcoming obstacles, mending and discovering new things. Beautifully told and sexy as hell!Eva Blue embarks on a journey unlike anything she could have imagined for herself... with Thor throwing a huge hammer in the works. They sure do get off to a rocky start but their attraction is undeniable. Their connection only grows as they discover the world and themselves. This book was inspiring, it made me want to travel the world too. The epic descriptions of the places they visit and things they do, made me feel like I was right along with them on this ride. Thor (totally read as a Danish Chris Hemsworth in my head) was one of the sweetest and sexiest characters I've read in a while. Though haunted by his past, he was a positive and caring guy that I instantly loved.I could relate to Eva on so many levels, the cover designer work (I do that), the homebody (totally me), the lack of travel and drive, the relationship with her mother and aunty, the absent father ... it was uncanny. The similarities we shared made this journey an emotional one for me.One of my favourite parts of this book were the postcards. How brilliant! There's no denying I'm a huge fan of Holly's books - this being the 17th book of hers that I've read - but this story felt a little different. Just like Eva stepped out of her comfort zone, I felt like Holly did a little too. Maybe it was all the travel to faraway lands, the stepping away from the cute towns and cottages, I don't know, but I definitely felt a different writing style with this one; more raunchy, more real. And I loved every damn second of it! Straight to my favourites shelf!

Travel, comedy, romance and love!
What a wonderful book!! I can’t believe how much I laughed out loud and even shed a few tears. When I was Eva Blue’s age (late 20s) I traveled as much of the world that I could so I found revisiting some of those places so enjoyable on her round the world trip! The story was so romantic and sweet and funny - all the great traits of a rom com novel. I would love to see this made as a movie! Chris Hemsworth would be perfect reprising the role of an albeit a different Thor. I don’t want to give away too much of this book but if you were once a traveler or an armchair traveler this book will add another layer of imagination and pleasure to read. If you’re about to set off on an adventure or holiday of your own this book is perfect for your flight. How much did I love this book? I read it on my kindle and then bought the paperback because I want to revisit this book and keep it where I can see it when I need to vacation from this quarantine life.

The ultimate dream vacation!
If travel and romance are you thing, this book will give you a bumper, joyful helping of both! The story takes you on a whistlestop tour of the world with several locations described in letters to Eva's mum, which I found an especially sweet touch. Each place has such a different feel, it brings out different sides to the characters and makes for a lovely backdrop change to the developing romance between Eva and Thor. There are certain settings I knew I would love in advance but I was surprised to find myself most enchanted with the extra cosy scenes in Denmark, now top of my bucket list. There are also certain comedy moments with Eva that will stay with me for life - the ice cubes moment for sure! But these are matched with heart-twanging moments, so really you've got it all with this one - the whole world and a world of love!

Love & Adventure!
I don't normally review books but I felt like I just had to with this book! IT WAS SO ENJOYABLE!!!I get frustrated with cheesy plot lines and corny romance but this book is exciting and sweet. I am a bit of a gypsy heart but super introverted, much like the main character. She works from home and isn't terribly adventerous but embarks on a trip around the world with an travel escort of most womens dreams.Read this book! You'll enjoy it.

sweet and endearing
it was sweet, and I like the idea of actually seeing it to chase your dreams. but... don't expect to see a van gogh at the louvre. that sort of thing is at the musee de orsay. (bit picky, but if you're planning a trip to Paris, make time for both museums?

Wow! Could not love this more!
I really loved how beautiful of a love story this was. It developed at just the right pace and the journey the hero and heroine went on (literally and figuratively) was everything I could have hoped for. I read this in one sitting. I could not get enough!

Hilarious and beautiful all in one
What can I say, Holly Martin is a fantastic author who manages to set the scene of her books from the very first chapter such that as soon as you pick it up, you do not want to put it down.Eva Blue tragically lost her mum in a car accident whilst she was on holiday. Her mum left her their family home and upon investigating the loft, she finds a small chest, which turns out holds all of her mum's dreams that she hoped to fulfil in her life, but this was before she fell pregnant with Eva.Eva's father is not in the picture, her mum made it clear to her that he has done nothing but let her down and she does not need him in her life.Eva feels guilty that her mum did not get to fulfil her dreams because of having Eva and so she decides to go way out of her comfort zone and do these things on her mum's behalf, but Eva works from home everyday, rarely goes out, she cannot possibly go travelling alone, so she finds a travel agent that provides a guide to travel with her. After looking on their website she decides the amazingly attractive Thor is not for her, he does not look like her type of person and when she meets him in the travel agent she knows she made the right decision selecting Rebecca. However due to unforeseen circumstances Rebecca can no longer attend the trip and when Thor turns up at the airport Eva is reluctant, but eventually agrees he can go along. From this point this book provides the reader with every emotion that exists, but mainly laughter. I would not hesitate to recommend this book, it is one you could read over and over.
