Is the sanding block for 6 disk sandpaper hard or soft?

Its a flexible sanding block. I really like using this pad for concave surfaces on autobody panels. I would consider this block on the firmer side of the soft flexible blocks. I definitely recommend this sanding block.

Is this a proper size and type of block for hand sanding a car hood of a 90 integra?

These are soft compared to regular sanding blocks, so they are good for sharp edges and curved surfaces on any area of car bodies including hoods. Keep in mind the hood is the most difficult to repair so the damage is invisible when done. Better to find a used hood.

How is the paper attached, hook & loop or psa. this question is in there twice with two differeng answers, can not be both.

I folded the sand paper over the block and used the pressure of my hand to keep it in place. I purchased this block for wet sanding so that worked well. This block does not have any hooks.
