Pleasantly Surprised
I was skeptical of an S-Video switch, expecting to have at least some sort of visual/brightness loss when hooked up to my CRT TV but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it functions. I have my N64, Wii, PS2, and PS3 all hooked up to this via S-Video and the image out of this is as crisp and clear as it would be just plugged in straight from the device to the TV. No added visual or audio noise. Glad 4 ports were added to this, even if it did mean having to put one in the front of the unit. But that's OK, feels like a callback to the days of plugging in stuff to the front of a CRT TV.Switching is instant too, and I'm quite glad honestly that this didn't need some sort of external power to use. Just plug and play. Can't go wrong for the price.

Preserves s-video signal quality compared to other video switches
Far less noisy than my old switch that this product replaced. The s-video signal quality is preserved as if you were plugging it in directly, same with the composite. This switch does not convert composite into s-video like other products, but I would argue that is a good thing! It means that internally, both signals are properly separately grounded, resulting in a cleaner picture! Video switches that combine composite and s-video (like my old one did) often output a noisy, smeared picture. Composite will always be not so great, but signal degradation is more noticeable on my CRT with s-video.It has a decent price for the value you get too, the product feels sturdy and the switches feel nice to press. Additionally, It has thick foam feet to make sure it doesn't move when you press the switches. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the 4th input on the front panel, but I don't use it frequently enough to really be bothered by it. Highly recommend this as a quality s-video switch!

Great Retro Game Switch
I use this for my SNES, N64, PS1, and OG Xbox. It works great and I primarily use for the S-Video. The switch works immediately, and the picture quality is high. Great for those looking to hook up 4 or less retro consoles to a CRT.

Nice build quality
I've had some RadioShack switches that I've used for years, and one finally died on me. Got this as a replacement and it's been great. The build quality is nice, and it even has a headphone out which could come in handy. I might even replace my other switch with one more of these. The only thing I don't like is that you can't have a composite signal output through the S-video out, which is something the RadioShack switch did. Kind of annoying for stuff without S-Video like NES since it's one extra cable you would need to run to the TV.

Very good analog device! 4th input is odd but it's not enough to detract
I prefer my switches to be analog. I don't want anything fancy or additional processing, just on/off functionality and it took a while but I eventually found this simple but great switch for my needs. The plugs are good, not too tight but not loose on the RCA and s-video ports. I have no perceived lag and no issues with audio or image quality. There are 3 inputs on the back and 1 on the front, so the output can be backward-facing. It can always look odd having cables coming around the front but it's the price to be paid for having 4 inputs into a reasonably compact unit especially at this price. Some have a better design but as I said, it took a while to find this as the availability of "better" ones and especially the price, play a huge role. You will find prettier and/or more compact devices but they will be more expensive - if they're even in stock. The older analog devices are thinning out due to the retro wave and used items are flooding the marketplace with inflated prices so if you can get this right now, don't worry and don't think twice.

Works great but doesn't convert composite to S-Video
I have the splitter plugged into the S-Video port on my TV, then two S-Video devices plugged into the splitter along with a VCR which only has composite. The S-Video devices work perfectly but sadly the composite signal doesn't get transmitted properly since the splitter is connected with S-Video. I wasn't sure if it would work or not but thought I would confirm that it doesn't.

Perfect
This does exactly what I need it to do- I am able to plug in 3 video game systems using either RCA video composite or S-video and then switch between those 3 consoles going out to a retro tink- from there I push to an HDMI switch and then I have 1 wire going to my tv across the room. Very clean setup.1 note. If you are using composite and s-video, you need to have output cables that are both s-video and composite as well, this device will not convert the signals- luckily the retrotink has both composite and s-video inputs so this works perfectly.I have the NES going into the switch via composite and the SNES and N64 going in via S-video-The only thing that would make this better would be a remote or something that triggers the device to force the active video to be displayed from whatever the most recent signal it receives is. My HDMI switch has both a remote and the active video switch feature and I find myself only using the active signal switch. I am guessing there isn't much demand for those extra features and this works absolutely fine and maybe it is better that it is simplified. The only downside for me is that I need to physically push a button on the switch to switch consoles. I was able to hide the switch behind one of the door openings so that it is not readily visual.
