Great little docking station
Great value, fit everything I needed on it so I could swap between work and personal laptop with minimum of fuss. Shame not a UK plug, but I did have an adapter, so was able to use immediately. The driver URL links worked perfectly so easy to install. Only think that would have been nice would be option to turn on/off some usb's but I solved that by plugging in a spare mini hub which has buttons on it...means I can turn the laptop cooler fan off when laptop is off.

Perfect. Works exactly as advertised. No complains. Really helps managing cabling.
Recommended buy. Value for money, and works like a charm2 USB 3.0 ports in the front with speaker and mic inputs4 USB 3.0 ports at the back, 1 Ethernet port, 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA portConnects using USB B cable from device to system. Connection to system is a standard USB a end.12V DC power input cable plugs in and powers the device.

Order a converter plug with it
I paid for quickest delivery and received it within 24 hours, apparently held in stock in, and dispatched from, the UK, but supplied with a two pin US power lead only, useless to me without a travel-style adaptor to allow me to plug it in.I mainly bought this to add an additional monitor, as my laptop has only a single HDMI socket and it facilitated this. It comes with a driver mini CD, but if your machine does not have a CD drive, there is a Google Drive URL in the manual to download them. This should be done before connecting it to the PC.This can be laid horizontally or, if desk space is limited, it comes with a stand which can be added to allow it to stand vertically. It comes with 4 USB 3.0 sockets (plus a further 2 (2.0) on the back), an Ethernet socket, two video inputs (one HDMI and one DVI) and a connector for a supplied USB cable to connect it to the laptop. At the back, in addition to the aforementioned USB 2.0 sockets, there are also headphone and microphone jacks. I was rather surprised to find that my headset, previously connected to the laptop direct, stopped working until I plugged it into the docking station.A word of warning, there is a rather bright red power LED on this unit which, if you have this at home you may find distracting if you do not power down in the evenings.

Great value for money, but takes a while to work on Mac
I found the non monitor related activities instant on Windows 10, Ubuntu 18.04 and Mac with no issues but cos of display link set up errors on my part, it took much longer to get the monitors routed through this device properly. Basically, install your DisplayLink drivers (for dual screen), reboot your machine (all of them) and THEN plug in your connector cable from this device. It works 5 stars since, no issues and am getting good service from all ports for weeks now. Looking back, this product is great value for money and is working a treat as I type.

worked well now only half works (5 months old)
This docking station worked really well for a few months with my setup of two screens and a laptop using ethernet port and three USB slots for mouse/keyboard and headphones. Now the only thing that works is the USB slots, the monitor outputs don't work anymore which is really frustrating as this was the sole reason for buying this device. Bit of a waste of money in the end, I looks like everything starts as the ethernet port lights up as it should then just turns off so i think it is a power issue and the board is prioritising the USB over everything else.

Works well enough, takes a minute to set up.
The unit works ok. However it took it a few reboots after installing the drivers. It comes with a Euro cable rather than a U.K. one.It seems to have issues seeing a single monitor at first, but once it figures out it’s connected it works fine. All the USB connected devices work perfectly. One issue it’s does have is that it warns you it won’t play DVDs, or display 3D graphics via USB, but it does play streaming services fine. It suits me well as I’m mainly using it for Database and Spreadsheet works.

Expensive whine
I had great hope from the other reviews on Amazon for this but so far it had not lived up to the hype.Product- The unit itself has almost no weight to it which means it struggles to cope with the weight of all the cables it can support- Cable support is actually good- duel screen support works welInstallation- I had no issues installing though had to follow the instructions so that I didn’t get the same issue some have on here before regarding screens not turning on.Key point:- it makes a high pitched whine all the time! No matter if it’s being used or not. If it’s powered on it whines and it actually gives me a headache unless I am listening to over audio over the top.

The ultimate cord organizer, lets be real
I never cared much about getting a USB docking station until I had dragged almost all my stuff off my desk because I forgot to unplug one cord from my laptop port. I decided to pick up this model because it was a reasonable price and seemed to have a plethora of ports to suit my needs (multiple monitors, tablet, USB mouse, etc). Getting things setup was super easy and performance has not lagged one bit.Instead of having 3-4 things plugged into my laptop, I now only have to use a single USB port and the dock takes care of the rest. In addition, I no longer have to swap ports for using different devices, this one is huge! Prior to this I would have to decide which port to unplug to swap with my tablet, charging/importing cabes, etc. Now my workflow is much smoother and my desk is a lot more tidy which is the real bonus here. I highly recommend this dock - doesn't effect performance, TONS of USB 3 ports, and really well built.

Great Docking Station
I have now owned the Acodot docking station for about a month and have been satisfied with my purchase. I compared several docking stations before making my purchase, and the deciding factor for me was the six USB 3 ports this station offered. This inexpensive docking station has everything I need:Pros• Gigabit Ethernet Rj-45 connection• 6 USB 3.0 ports, four on the back and two on the front• Support for two monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 DVI (a DVI to HDMI converter is included)• Audio & Microphone ports• Plugin play for Windows 10• Single USB cable to attach to a computer• Solid build quality• Portable• 2-year warrantyCons• No passthrough power to charge a laptop, so you need to plug your power cable into your computer to power it• No support for 4K monitorsThe cons are not problems for me since my laptop doesn’t use USB-C power delivery, and I don’t have any 4K monitors. The only issue I have had with this docking station was once when I attached my laptop, and it didn’t recognize the proper resolution of my external monitor. I knew something wasn’t right when my monitor came on, and everything was scrunched up into a small screen. This problem has only happened once, and rebooting everything resolved the issue.I love this docking station and no longer have to plug in my external hard drive when I want to use them since they are now attached all the time through the station. This docking station works excellent and has made my life easier.

great purchase
Wanted something cheap and easy and this thing delivered. Have a 6 yr old home desktop w/ dual screens, usb cam, usb printer, ethernet cable for internet, and usb wireless keyboard & mouse receiver. Wanted to be able to dock 4 laptops (1 to 5 yrs old) for the kids & work laptops to take advantage of dual screens, web cam, printer and generally the working desk area. This thing has work flawlessly and was easy to get going. Home desktop was 1st install since it was the only one w/ a DVD player. Installed the driver, pulled the cords off the desktop, got it powered up, hooked up all the cords, and then plugged the single USB to the front of the machine. BOOM worked.Copied the driver to a USB drive, did the same thing for 4 other laptops. BOOM, all worked.Done in like an hour or two. Now when anyone wants to hook up, simply remove the usb from the front of the desktop and plug into any laptop usb port. Seamless & easy. Was really worried about the age and variation of the laptops working. I'm not computer guru and this setup was painless & easy.FYI, all computer are running windows 10. Make sure to install the driver 1st. Had to do an initial display settings adjustment to get size & alignment on displays, but it remembers settings. For the laptops that have touch screens running, we also have the option of mouse or screen navigation now.
