This is a good chest. It arrived with minor dings (no paint damage) as some others noted, but nothing that degraded the utility. Mine arrived with all welds complete, and seems to seal well. I actually like the strut placement - it supports the way I use the box well. It also raises the lid stoutly, making it easier to load with heavy tiedowns, tools, etc. I gave it 4 stars because it is aluminum, and will not deter seasoned thugs. But it seems sturdy enough, the latch is strong, and it will secure the things I need it to fairly well. It looks stronger than it is, and will do the job I bought it for. A fair value considering.

I bought this almost a year and a half ago and installed in in the back of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ). I use it when the rear seat is removed, which is most of the time. I set it on hockey pucks to raise it up higher than the seat tracks, put some split rubber fuel line over the edges of the seat tracks in case they touch so it doesn't rattle, used one bolt through the box into the rear seat belt mounting point and two J-bolts through the box into the footmans loops in the floor. Stays secure, easily removable if I want to put the seat back in, holds all my recovery gear, tools and more.

There was a slight ding on the back of it.

Well built, good welds, top fits as it should. To bad it came with the top dented on the corner. Outer shipping box had a small rub mark on it, and the inner packaging box had a serious crinkle on it. So I would guess that it was shipped out that way.Nothing a mallet couldn't fix, and since it will be hidden not really a big deal.Happy with the purchase, packaging not so much.

Well made box. Very sturdy. Insulated lid, Durable handles and nice black painted finish. I have it in the bed of my truck To keep my jack, jumper cables, ect. in it and locked up. Right next to my 35" spare tire. Easy to pull out if I need the bed space to haul something. I was a little pricey but well built and should last a long, long time.

The box is what you expect to get from UWS. Well made, no problems, etc. I've seen one that looks identical online branded as a Better Built box. Either way, you get a nice box at a reasonable price. Boxed nicely, arrived quickly with no damage.

Nice size box. Well built. Good paint finish. Just a little on the pricey side for an empty box. Woks great for my use, I store a hoverboard in it to help mitigate any fire hazard during charging and storage.
