I like these locking carabiner to use as an alternative or as the base to attach keyrings too. Many keys can become tangled with each other and the keyrings that come can come undone but with this carabiner, especially having the screwlock, it is as safe as it comes. It is slightly more bulky and slightly too heavy or it would have been a 10/10 but all in all very much worth the money if you look for a secure carabiner and coming with 9 there is no reason to use them for any purpose you can use it for ! Highly recommended

As stated these are not for climbing, just for general use around the home or while out and about. The main use I have it for is to attache my dog's lead to an anchor point in my car boot. Means sorting stuff out is much easier with both hands free.I also use them for attaching his lead to my belt if I need both hands for anything while out walking him. Also have one on my rucksack for various uses....mainly for carrying my or my dogs water bottle.They are nice and light and do feel like they would take a decent weight. Look the part too.

Rubbish! had a lot of bother with strong winds this year and we have a large gazebo with sides so the sides had one of these on every eyelet so at the slightest breeze or we was lowering the gazebo we could simply detach the side panels or roof with just a few simple presses...good feature is they have a barrel you screw onto a thread which keeps it locked until you want to release when you simply unscrew.. very light and strong although does state on them that not for climbers as suspect they not strong enough for that kind of force...bought another set soon after first as they where a success

I wanted something carabina like for quickly attaching paracorde to different wire antennas..and for raising wire antennas into trees.. These will be good enough, strong enough for that purpose...if you wanted them for hanging items off a rucksack, or attaching bunches of keys to your belt loop.. Ideal.. Just don't expect these clips to prevent you falling off the face of everest.. Big no no...
