Easy to use with great results
I am medically retired from the army and am not a plumber by trade, but this is the BEST flux I have found and it helped me do all the joints in the pictures. This flux has the consistency of toothpaste without the grit. The smell is low when heating the joint. It flows very easily and helped me get ZERO leaks from almost 240 joints on my hydronic heating system. I can't recommend this flux enough. Please spend the little extra to make your life alot easier

Flows much better than old flux!!
I was having problems tinning a multi-strand 8 gauge cable. A friend told me about C-flux. Worked great.

Good stuff
I'm not the best in soldering and usually have one in 7 leak depending on location. I set up like 12 points during this project with no leaks. Color of paste threw me off but worked better then the paste I've used in the past. Would of gave 5 stars but it started to dry slightly by the time I spent to much time fitting.

Better then oatey 95/5
Compared to Oatey 95/5, I will use this over it. Been having a lot of issues the last couple years sense the lead was taken out of everything. Tiniest bit of steam would negatively affect the sweat sense the newer product. This product seems to solve that issue. Used it on a couple whole house remodeles and didn’t have the problems compared to oatey. It seemed to clean it Better and got more black crap pushed out on older pipes.

Great soldering flux for plumbing
This one had been around for ever and is still a great flux for soldering copper piping.

not as mentioned
first of all this tinning flux does tintinning ability - 1/5 (does not have enough solder powder in it)smoking - 3/5 (still smokes but not as bad as cheap flux)cleaning ability - 2/5 ( use only on clean and dry copper)oxidation prevention - 5/5 (very good at preventing oxide formation before solder can wet joint)staying power - 5/5 (doesn't burn off or liquidly and run away from joint easy)thickness - 2/5 ( rather thin and drippy when hot like in the summertime)

Easy to use for non-pros! Maybe pros use it too!
I end up doing lots of copper pipe plumbing for this reason or that. Always liked the traditional oil-based flux and wasn't overjoyed with any of the water-soluble fluxes. But I tried this and I'm so glad I did. It's a joy to work with and I wish I'd known about it 20 years ago! I'll never use any other kind of flux again! It contains (lead-free) solder powder so you get pre-tinning along with the cleaning and flux action. Last job I did involved 50 solder joints - none of them leaked. If you are an amateur, you will find that this makes the job just a little bit easier and more reliable and we can all go with that. This 12 ounce can is a few lifetimes of use for me, but the price was right.
