I installed 2 these to replace a 1 year old Engenius link (enstation5)This was a wonderful experience (not just comparatively)!Setup and installation is ez n straight forward (while i am a computer engineer, anybody with rudimentary networking and IP experience can install these, however it may need rf experience to select a good location, u do need a clear line of sight, and a bit of padding ard that line)I only did a 1.4 km link and do have besides 1 palm tree a clear fresnel zoneFine adjustment (just using standard mount) gave me -36dbm (abt 15 dbm better than mere coarse adjustment) and 650mbps in both directions (80MHz channel, 8x QAM), 0ms latency (full power 24 dbm)There is a considerable amt of 5GHz noise in both locations (as well as 2.5), but they are unaffectedUnless 62cm (abt t size of the bigger satellite dishes) is really an issue, i c no reason to use the smaller unit or another brandVery stable, truly carrier class!Best price / performance ratio!I wrote near perfect only cuz the unit has a max tilt of only ±15° and my link is a tad over 20° down, so I drilled an extra hole (on ea unit) and extended the tilt range to 25°
