With a slight modification it can work with philwoods 1/2" thread. Drill a hole in the philwood cap and wrap some Teflon tape around it. Then screw the philwood 3oz tube with the modified cap onto the grease gun. Squeeze the grease tube as you prime the plunger on the grease gun. Repeat until you get grease coming out the grease gun nozzle. Took about 15 Squeezes for me. Great grease gun so far.

Simply squeeze the grease into the chamber, then press the plunger to dispense into a small, medium or larger space.

Allows me to apply grease with precision and not waste it!

Finally got a chance to use this grease gun on my Speedplay Zero pedals. I had been using the gun sold by Speedplay for their pedals but it failed and was a huge mess after a few uses. This gun works well once you figure out how to do it. The trick is holding the screw port insert tight against the body of the pedal as you squeeze the gun. Rotate the pedal a quarter turn and repeat. It can be messy as the old grease oozes out the backside of the pedal. Once you get it figured out the pedals are nice and tight, which means they are properly filled with grease. We shall see how long this grease lasts but I expect no problems. I love these pedals and do not like the new style, will keep lubing them twice a season.

I was refurbishing my road bike with new cables, housing, jockey wheels, etc. and wanted a grease gun for application in hard-to-reach areas. This item worked very well. The grease is a medium viscosity that flows easily and stays put. I used it on the headset races, freewheel bearings, and even applied some into the grease port on some Speedplay pedals. I've had several rides since the overhaul and all is running smoothly.

Bought this for speedplay pedal (bike) lubrication. Worked well- well made simple and effective product. I’m going to buy a second one for a toolbox I travel with - great value.

The ad for this product states, "Compatible with any big brand grease tubes, such as Park Tool and Finish Line." This is blatantly false. The grease injector gun that's included in this kit does not fit the threading on the Finish Line grease tube. I actually purchased this kit and the Finish Line grease at the same time. I intended to use the Finish Line grease primarily, and the included grease after the Finish Line was exhausted. If you're going to make claims in your ad, make sure they're factual.

other than the questionable bike grease tube fit this "thumb operated grease gun" IS SLICK. EZ to apply grease to just where u want it to go!
