MaxCOMFORT System, Cold Comfort Therapy, Knee Wrap

Just had my 5th knee surgery, this one a replacement. Needed to ice fairly often and this product works great. No messing with bags of ice, just freeze the wrap and then use the Velcro straps to securely fasten it around your knee. It easily provides 15 - 20 minutes of good icing. This my 2nd purchase and I use both after this past surgery rotating them to ensure excellent icing!

Had a total knee replacement done. Do wish I had this appliance immediately post op, as it provided welcomed pain relief through its cold/ice-therapy, within minutes of applying.Much more secure and convenient that the simpler "ice-in-a-bag" that is, [inexpensively], given at discharge. Unfortunately these cold packs can only last so long, so I would recommend buying an extra set of cold pack inserts to replace the first ones, once those warm up.[Just keep rotating the packs back into the freezer to keep the coldness coming.] Saved me a lot of oral pain meds, and allowed me to sleep much much better, in the first several weeks post operation.

This product worked very well for the 1st few months. Then, the cover and the Velcro started getting worn and now the straps are shredding and the Velcro is not sticking. I never thought a product like this would wear out so quickly. The gel packs are in good shape but the beauty of a product like this is that you just wrap your leg and attach the straps. It no longer sticks. Very disappointed. :(

The best ice pack for my aching knee that I have found. With three straps and fairly large ice packs, it stays put and surrounds most of the knee (although I have skinny runner legs). Just make sure to take the ice pack out of the carrier before freezing. The neoprene carrier will absorb the smells from the freezer.

I saw this product in a neighborhood pharmacy for $59.95. I'm so glad I waited until I checked Amazon. This a great product to aide in healing. Actually it is better than I expected. Full knee coverage and sturdy.

A friend let me use her Battle Creek Ice It! Knee System for an injured knee and it worked great, wrapping my knee completely with ice packs. So I looked for one on Amazon. Even though I ordered the Ice It! Knee System, what I got was was 1/3 smaller--it barely goes around my knee--and my knees aren't that big around. I did not read carefully enough to realize that this one only has two ice packs, not three like my friend's. (My fault on that one.) Even though it said "Knee System," I should have realized it wasn't right when the pictured item was being worn around the neck. One's knee has to be pretty small if you want to get the ice all around it when you wrap it around your leg. I may keep this one for elbows; my friend (with the larger Ice It! for knees) is also interested in it, so she may buy it from me. I have already purchased the larger size (with 3 ice packs) from a store that specializes in items like this.On a positive note, I will say that these systems work really well--but be sure to read carefully and get the right size. Battle Creek Ice It! systems are made of high quality materials, and are effective at icing injuries. If I were just rating the product, it would have received 5 stars, but I'm reviewing the whole shopping experience in this review so others will not make the same mistake I did.
