Very poor - series is going downhill
After many strong books in the series, things are going downhill fast - the last book in the series prior to this one was absolutely terrible and this one wasn't a lot better - very disappointed - not worth reading, worth skipping as it doesn't add anything to the back story. Plot is poor and predictable - I guessed who the main perpetrator was before I'd reached the halfway point of the book. Hopefully the next book in the series will be better or I'll not be buying any future books...

Entertaining but not vintage Pendergast
As a huge fan of Agent Pendergast, I was very disappointed in this book. Agent Pendergast was uncharacteristically stupid, never suspecting the really obvious villain until the climax of the story, and acted idiotically in their final confrontation. It’s less bizarre and therefore less fun than the authors’ usual fare. Having said that, I found it an entertaining read but don’t expect vintage Pendergast

Preston and Child City of Endless Night.
This new Agent Pendergast novel was only published yesterday 16 th Jan today 17 th how come people have completely read and understood the novel and able to write a critical review ??? In my opion true fans of the Pendergast adventures will be better equipped to understand and appreciate the plot taking rather longer to enjoy and absorb the novel. Having read the new book over several days enjoying and savouring the plot. A classic Pendergast crime adventure awaits you with unexpected twist in the storyline. Some horrendous crimes await the reader with a final battle between the perp and Pendergast with favorite characters under treat the outcome is uncertain. What of the future maybe the traditional Preston and Child epilogue will give you a clue.

Pendergast
Read all the books these writers have done together and individually. Never disappointed.

Another Best Seller
Just started to read the books, and I can't put it down. Personally I prefer their Agent Pentagast series to their individual books. But if your a fan your love it. If your new to the Agent Pentagast series I would recommend starting with Relic the first one in the series.
