Needed replacement cake plates for wedding. Good quality.

I purchased these for a three tier wedding cake I was making for a friend. While I not a professional decorator, I have been making and decorating cakes of all types for over 20 years and have experience with tiered wedding cakes.They arrived two days before the wedding. All of the plates were cracked. I did not have time to order more nor was I able to find the sizes I needed locally on such short notice.Not only we’re they broken on arrival, they did not adequately support the cake. The support pieces are basically slightly thicker straws but not even as sturdy as boba tea straws. Their lack of support resulted in tearing of the fondant and sinking of the middle tier. When it was time to cut the cake, the plates were shattered and had to be picked out in pieces. Because they sank, they also tore up the fondant when trying to remove each tier, which in turn resulted in messy looking slices.Do not waste your money on these. Look elsewhere or other raise caveat emptor.

The larger plates should have more than three pegs. 8” cakes need 4 rods for support, 10” cakes need 6 rods, etc. These will do for short-time display, but definitely not for traveling a stacked cake.

There are not enough supports to hold a heavy tiered wedding cake. Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way.

First set arrived broken due to poor packaging I believe. Thankful that it was remedied quickly, as it was needed for a wedding cake. Once in replace, product worked as expected and I was pleased. Cake was heavy and this kept it stable and level.
