Q: anyone recommend another brand comparable to the the previous Coles present ones fall apart

After returning the Cole Haan Pinch Penny shoes over fit, I purchased a pair of Bass Logans (Weejuns) from amazon prime...more reasonably priced than the Cole Haans. In black, the leather is a bit stiff on the Bass loafers requiring a little break-in, but I found the quality and fit more than acceptable for between $60-70/pair for leather shoes in 2014!

I bought a pair of these in November, 2017. I am very happy with them, and recently ordered another pair. So far they seem to be very good quality and look great. I especially like the leather sole, I dance a lot and the leather sole is good for dancing, where the rubber or other similar soles make turns more difficult as they tend to cling to the dance floor. I have worn Bass Weejuns, which look almost identical to the Cole Haan, but are stiffer, since I was a teenager, many decades ago. The Bass Weejuns also had the leather sole, which is getting hard to find on this type of shoe, especially the wider size E. The best recommendation I can make is that I ordered another pair of these a week or so ago. I
