big MOOD! whatever the mood is.
The best tool is the one you actually use, so if the ultra portable appeal of the body cap lens gets you to take your camera out more, that's a win. It's light and snaps in easy. The all plastic everything makes it a certain kind of durable so you don't have to baby it. Full marks on those fronts.Otherwise, yeah, it turns your thousand dollar camera into a $3 disposable that you're pretty sure is expired or maybe went through the microwave but it's the only thing you can find in the post apocalyptic gas station you're looting. The vibe is also sometimes early aughts webcam quality. So yeah, I take my camera out more, but there's times where I'm like, boy HOWDY, I wish I had brought another lens with me. ANY lens. Literally any other lens. However, for strolling around casually snapping and if you want a certain vibe, it can't be beat. You just have to sure it's the vibe you want. It's not fast enough for you to literally walk past someone and do some incognito street photography, but if you're willing to stop and stand there for a sec, it works--assuming you don't mind the fringing and chromatic aberration. It's definitely a vibe. What vibe exactly? who knows! not me!to be fair, I pump up the ISO bonkers high and sometimes let my fuji xm-1 shoot in one of the "advanced filters" options I would be too snobby to touch in any other circumstance.most of the flaws here are inherent to the value this little thing has, so most of the criticisms, my own included, aren't actually fair. you're giving up a lot of control here and that's frustrating, but if you're trying to remind yourself that hey, maybe sometimes hobbies should be FUN...it's fun. It's mostly fun. I guess my one legit beef is that I wish I could buy this in a different focal length because I like to shoot close rather than wide.but again--it's got style. it's a Look. an #aesthetic. a mood. a vibe.or I guess it's got at least two vibes: color pop vintage fun retro toy camera, and color pop vintage fun retro toy camera found footage horror movie.all shots straight from the camera, no adjustments or crops, except for a slight exposure tweak in post on the water.

fun little lens
hey, it’s a disposable cameras resin lens slapped into a body cap. you know what you’re getting into. low contrast image, colors not amazing, blah blah blah. who cares! it’s FUN!

Fun to screw around with.
Turns my expensive mirrorless camera into a $5 point and shoot. What more could I ask for. The images are grainy with a kind of soft, dreamy look.

We shall see...
Impulse purchase, even though I am currently travelling without my Fujifilm X-mount camera. The plastic looks a bit rough and workmanship obviously cheap, but then again the lens is exactly that, and hand-made from a recycled lens. Will update on performance when I have had the chance.

It definitely adds a vintage feel to your photos
Needs lots of light or flash seems kind of expensive for what it is but well made

Interesting concept and fun
If you want to have a bit of fun and need a body cap. I bought this out of curiosity and found if you bump up the ISO. The pictures look like they came out of an old toy camera with heavy vignetting. 45mm equivalent on my Fuji. I’m leaving mine on as a body cap and will play with it as time allows. For less than $20 I’m happy with it
