Close Enough to the Untabbed Hario Filters of Yesteryears
I only had a stash of the old untabbed Hario because I grabbed them from my garage recycle bin (almost ready to be thrown out). Thought it'd be a waste to toss out half-decade old filters when my new dripper came with these new-looking tabbed. Most coffee-vested folk should know the consistency concerns over the new tabbed versions (versions, as in made in Japan or Europe). I tried the new Japanese make myself, the time was different enough and with every other variable during brewing present, I did not want to also think about the paper. To hammer the point about cost: as of this post, Amazon sells the Hario tabbed 3x 100-pk for $16, Cafec 100-pk is around $10 each. Tabbed filters can be a lot cheaper compared to the Cafec but I don't like them no matter how cheap. That's my personal choice and ability to pick. Given the cost per cup beans included, paper filters are near the bottom of costs. Test-driving a few filters, the times match up to the old tabless Hario as many have attested. Price is close enough for those who previously paid a premium to source old stock. It's good to have this consistent Cafec option. Bought from a third-party seller on here that looked fine and shipped promptly. I don't believe Amazon carries it directly so thank you to the independent retailers for taking inventory on a less popular (relatively) but better product.

Pour over coffee filters fit my needs
These pair well with my generic ceramic v60, and have a good flow rate of 2 min on medium grind setting. It makes a delicious cup of coffee.
