They work just like I thought they would. We play volleyball and other activities in our gunite pool. These provide the protection I was looking for.

My son won't wear these because he said they are uncomfortable on the bottom of his feet. With that said, they seem to me as sturdy and stylish. These are definitely more of a walking shoe than a swim shoe, to bulky and stiff for just swimming but i can see that they would be good for river, or a swim park. As for being uncomfortable maybe it's the drainage holes or the fact they were stiff and new that was bothering him but If your feet are sensitive you might want to rethink these.

Last minute ordered these for my trip to Mexico. They were a bit tight, but I do have wide feet and regardless they did the job. I am pretty happy with how durable they were - I walked about a half mile in these over dirt and gravel to get to a cenote and not one rip. Overall, I’m happy with the shoe.
