Hoover Linx - Easy Replacement
The old roller/brush assembly was slipping when going over carpeted floors, after many years of service. I got this replacement, watched a YouTube video on how to replace the assembly and that was it. Probably took 10 minutes to swap out the old one. The video is really helpful showing the installation of the gear band which is the most difficult part of the installation. A lot of little screws, keep them in a glass so you don't lose any while you are making the change.. I would thoroughly clean the vacuum tube while the brush assembly is off, mine was pretty clogged with packed on dog hair.

THE LINX IS LIKE NEW
REPLACING THE BRUSH IS ALWAYS SOMETHING THAT PRODUCES AN IMMEDIATE POSITIVE RESULT ON ANY VACUUM. THE LINX DOES NOT PRODUCE A LOT OF SUCTION SO A GOOD BRUSH IS IMPORTANT. THE CHANGE WAS A BREEZE. VERY SATISFIED.
