I got this battery specifically because it listed all of the tools that I was supposed to need. Sadly, it did NOT include the properly sized screwdriver needed to remove a flat, ribbon cable that extends up and over the battery. Luckily I was able to fit a reasonably priced kit online and get the battery out and the new one in but this was far more challenging than anticipated. However, in the grand scheme of things, it was purely down to fiddly screws.The battery is an EXACT fit to replace the one from the factory. It took a charge without any problems and appears to be holding its charge admirably. It has given a new lease of life to my laptop and saved me a fortune. Granted I can’t comment on longevity just yet as it’s only been a couple of weeks, but it seems to be holding up quite well. I can get around a day’s worth out of it with moderate use.All in all a good replacement at a fraction of the price apple is charging. Hope this review helps.

This A1437 battery is a good way of giving new life to an older (late 2012 / early 2013 A1425 model) MacBook Pro Retina 13". At £69.99 the battery isn't exactly cheap but it's a lot less expensive than a whole new MacBook. So if your trusty old Pro Retina has a dud battery, this is a cost-effective and environmentally sound way of keeping the device's full functionality alive. The Egoway battery is a quality replacement for the standard A1437 batteries that come in MacBook Pro Retina 13" models (the Egoway battery outperforms those generic factory-fitted batteries).MacBook battery installation is fiddlier than the simple slot-into-place process of installing batteries in most other types of laptop. This is 100% the fault of the designers at Apple, who deliberately make the process difficult not for reasons of safety or performance but out of financial greed (they want you to take your MacBook to an Apple shop for all parts replacements or upgrades, even those that should be extremely simple, such as replacing batteries). There's no need to do this, though. You can successfully replace your MacBook's battery yourself, as long as you know what you're doing and take appropriate precautions while carrying out the job (such as wearing an anti-static wristband - this prevents you from inadvertently frying electrical components with static sparks from your skin). If you're not sure of the process and want to replace your MacBook battery yourself, I recommend watching some video tutorials online (make sure they're specific to your model of battery and MacBook) before you go ahead and open up your laptop. These tutorials are extremely useful.The battery comes boxed with an instruction booklet and the screwdrivers you'll need for installation.The real test of any laptop battery isn't how well it performs when brand new. It's how efficiently the battery performs during and after repeated charging/discharging cycles. In other words, how well it maintains its original performance over time. I installed this battery only a couple of months ago and so don't yet know what sort of long-term performance it will deliver. For now, though, it's performing well. If this changes noticeably, I'll amend my review to reflect that.

Brother used this as his battery stopped charging. He said this has fixed the issue so he’s extremely happy.

With all MacBooks, you’ll need to be extra careful which battery replacement you are getting as a 2012 model will range from early and late and the subsequent batteries will only fit that particular model. But as a MacBook owner, you’ll probably know that anyway.Back to the battery, it’s very good and works just as well as the original. You do need some technical know-how to replace it. But if you don’t, there are plenty of online videos. Failing that, ask a professional.Works well, new lease of life for an old MacBook.

Was easy to install and plenty of youtube videos out there to help you along your way.I would say make sure you have proper adhesive remover as getting the old battery out was the hardest part about the replacement.I would also get a can of air as you might as well give the inside a clean while you have the back open.

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent kit !!!!It comes with all required tools to change the battery and also 23 step by step instruction with pictures how to do it so cant go wrong , took me about half hour to change it and works like dream .There is screwdrivers , gloves, cleaning pads, battery scraper squares and little scraping tool .Excellent kit to make the life easy

Product fits perfectly, supplied tool very practical, I wish the batteries had some adhesive to prevent it from moving around when the laptop is being transported. We will see how it performs over a few months.No specific instructions regarding recommendation for initial charging, will try to look on their website or maybe it is not important.

Kit bien conçu, avec notice explicative avec photos, tournevis, leviers plastiques, plaques plastiques pour le décollage de l'ancienne batterie et gants plastiques. Mais pour être parfait , il aurait fallu fournir un peu de solvant à colle nécessaire, même en faible quantité !Pour l'opération, il vaut mieux avoir un peu pratiqué quelques interventions sur ce genre de machine mais, si vous prenez le temps de bien suivre les instructions, ne perdez pas patience au décollage de la batterie d'origine (et disposez du fameux solvant à colle) qui est le loin l'opération la plus délicate, vous aurez la satisfaction de retrouver une autonomie acceptable de votre vieux MacBook pro.Pensez à bien recycler la vieille batterie !

Ho testato anche questa batteria, che risulta essere compatibile con il Macbook Pr Retina da 13”.La batteria è costituta da ioni di litio ed ha una tensione di 11,4 V ed una capacità di 71,8 Wh.La sua potenza è di 6330 mAh.E’ in grado di consentire circa 500 cicli di ricarica ed una volta caricata per bene, può durare anche fino a 3 ore continuative, anche se voglio sottolineare che la durata effettiva dipende esclusivamente dall’utilizzo che se ne fa del pc ed anche dai programmi che vengono utilizzati in quelle ore.Non necessità di particolari conoscenza per l’installazione, che risulta essere pratica e veloce, grazie anche al manuale d’istruzioni presente all’interno dello scatolo ed al materiale dato in dotazione, cioè cacciaviti. Buon prodotto ed anche funzionale, che consente una forte protezione da possibili cortocircuito e soprariscaldamento, grazie alla protezione integrata in sé.
