Failed out of the box, bad memory
Failed out of the box. Purchased this to upgrade my Ubuntu server and noticed that as soon as increased the memory usage the machine would reset. Ran the memtester program and the memory failed, lots of stuck bits. I dont think this is a DIMM module assembly issue, most likely a failure of the memory silicon or poor or no testing. Returning and will buy elsewhere.want 2048MB (2147483648 bytes)got 2048MB (2147483648 bytes), trying mlock ...locked.Loop 1/1: Stuck Address : ok Random Value : ok Compare XOR : ok Compare SUB : ok Compare MUL : ok Compare DIV : ok Compare OR : ok Compare AND : ok Sequential Increment: ok Solid Bits : testing 59FAILURE: 0xff0000000000 != 0x00000000 at offset 0x0e48f440.FAILURE: 0xffff00ffffffffff != 0xffffffffffffffff at offset 0x0e48f448.FAILURE: 0xff0000000000 != 0x00000000 at offset 0x0e48f450.FAILURE: 0xffff00ffffffffff != 0xffffffffffffffff at offset 0x0e48f458.FAILURE: 0xff0000000000 != 0x00000000 at offset 0x0e48f460.FAILURE: 0xffff00ffffffffff != 0xffffffffffffffff at offset 0x0e48f468.FAILURE: 0xff0000000000 != 0x00000000 at offset 0x0e48f470.FAILURE: 0xffff00ffffffffff != 0xffffffffffffffff at offset 0x0e48f478.and so on until the machine crashed again.

Junk Hardware - STAY AWAY!
After troubleshooting and testing and testing our customer's computer spent almost 11 hours over several days and of course I can't bill the customer for this. The computer would just shut off. No warning no alerts, computer would just have a 1 long beep. Based on what I found that could mean anything from motherboard to memory. This computer was a client's computer that control the gate of a storage rental and therefore cause the gate to be left open as the computer crashed overnight. Every diagnostic took I used showed the memory as passed. However keeping the memory in the system it kept crashing. I replaced the old memory and the computer is back working like it suppose to. I called this company yesterday and of course no one answered the call, still waiting for a callback of which i don't think will happen. When I got the Item i order a qty of 2 for a total of 8 GB of Ram. I got what I was suppose to get however they was two different type of memory modules. It seams after the fact running into troubles I read the reviews and see all kinds of issues with this company and there products. Because of there lack of response I have order memory from some where else and will deal with amazon on returning this crap of a product and be sending them a bill for all the time spent trying to troubleshoot a never ending deal.

A mismatched matched set of memory modules
I ordered two of these kits so I would have a matched set but that's not what I got. Even though all numbers on everything were exactly the same the memory wasn't. The modules in one set were 16 chip modules and the other set were 8 chip modules. The BIOS had to recognize both as 8 chip modules even though one set was 16 chips.I installed them and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit is acting some a little strange. It would have been better if you sent me 4 modules that were all 16 chips because now I don't know for sure what's going on.This shouldn't have happened with identically labeled modules.

Cheap and Good
Had an old computer I had built for my grandson from spare part awhile back. It was an old Asus P2B Deluxe motherboard with a CoreDuo Intel processor. Ah the good old days! Recently computer failed to post and discovered it was a bad stick of RAM. I had 4 sticks in at the time, 2 2 gig sticks and 2 1 gig sticks for 6 GB total (in Windows 10 Pro x64). Took out both 1 GB sticks. Didn't want to settle for just 4 GB of memory so got these. Popped them in, computer booted right up. Now I have 8 GB total for my grandson to mess around with. 8 is definitely better than 4. What's cool is these were PC6400 and the 2 sticks already in were PC8400. Computer didn't seem to mind as I changed nothing in the BIOS and computer didn't even blink. So far so good. I remember looking for memory many moons ago and DDR2 was way more expensive when I looked than it is now. I was pleasantly surprised as I didn't want to spend much on an already obsolete computer. Breathed a little more life in this old dog.

Perfect Fit
First, this is a plus / minus comment. I purchased a refurbished computer from Amazon and shortly thereafter, it quit. When I turned it on, the red light started blinking so I knew something was wrong. The red light blinked 5 times which indicated there was a memory problem. So, I checked the memory and found there were three different types of memory installed. Memory is all supposed to be matched. The refurbisher must have been a novice or an owner who wanted to sell a home computer. Anyway, he did it wrong. So I checked the Motherboard and cross ref. the memory and ordered it from Amazon. It fit, it matched and it worked. So beware buyers of refurbished merchandise, before you buy something that is listed as refurbished, checked to see if it has been "certified refurbished:" before you buy. Otherwise, you may make the same mistake that I did. Anyway, I had my memory in two days and everything is fine.

Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertized and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR
