BATTERY ISSUES
First the good. The housing is well built and it seems like it would take a beating. The Laser and light are bright (tested above surface).BAD: Charged the battery the night before a dive. Everything was working before I went to bed. I got to the dive sight and tested the light before entry and it was dead. I thought maybe it was a fluke. I charged it when we got back to the hotel. The next day, the same thing!I will say when it is working I really like it. But it's a paperweight at this point. So do not ruin a dive by buying this light. Find a better reliable option.

Started off nice but now flickers.
I've only taken this down to about 10 - 12 feet. It was working fine for the first few times in the water. Now, when set to low, the light flickers. It is fine on high and laser, though. I might have received a dud.It comes in a nice storage case. The flashlight and the laser are very bright. The battery life is acceptable. The bud quality feels solid. It's just too bad the light flickers.

Quality made
great flash light use it for more than diving lights up everything in a building and the laser is visible of great distance super happy with it.

Not as bright as I expected for a dive light.
This is an okay dive light, but I would have liked for it to be brighter. The laser is only about half as bright as the $14.00 green laser pointers you can buy. It is well built, and I like it overall. You do have to remove the battery to charge it though. Good trade-off for water proofing.

Bright light and laser
I do like that it's airtight and that the green laser has good penetration in water. The light is extremely bright but it isn't focused enough. You lose a lot of light energy in the sides so the central beam isn't as bright as it could be. Battery life is pretty good, got about 40min maybe of steady use in 73F water.

Flash light is usable… Laser doesn’t have tail
The image made it seem like the laser was a beam not a dot. Under water all lasers have a beam but out the water it’s just a bright dot. Flash light is meh. It’s usable but nothing crazy you usually see in flashlights these days. Have to take battery out to charge but I guess that’s cause waterproofing.

Rock-solid all-aluminum diving light w/ super bright green laser that I'll be using everywhere!
The media could not be loaded. Well, I think I'm going to use this flashlight above water as well, it's so much brighter and better built than my camping flashlight that I simply can't resist using it everywhere now. Even for playing with my cat thanks to its built-in laser :). It has a rugged machined metal body with dual rubber grommets on the battery compartment end, waterproof switches, and a high-quality lens with a reflector that make it ideal for any situation where you need a bright and dependable headlight. Light output on the lower end, it's only around 1000 lumens, which might not be sufficient for underwater illumination. Compared with my 1000 lumens Streamlight flashlight it's the same, so I believe the stated brightness. Next to the flashlight there is a green laser emitter, which is particularly good. I always recommend going for a green laser vs red if you can afford it, it's so much more visible especially in sunny conditions and underwater. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the laser if needed, most likely it's not possible at all because the body is watertight and completely sealed. I verified the laser aiming and it seems to be right on the light spot. This kit includes one battery, a charging cable, two extra grommets for the battery compartment, a lanyard, and a carrying case. The battery is quite good, the manufacturer says that it lasts from 1.5 hours to 3 hours depending on the brightness selected. However, I think the claim that batteries are 5100 mAh each is an overstatement, it's 18650 type, they usually hold 3000 mAh at best. Note that the flashlight does not have a built-in charger, but the battery itself has a built-in charger and USB-C port. To select brightness, press the power button repeatedly, which allows you to circle through 2 levels of brightness and one SOS mode. One issue I've noticed with this headlight is that you cannot instantly turn it off and have to scroll through all modes until you reach OFF mode. The flashlight is fairly lightweight considering that it's all-aluminum and my scale shows me 271 grams with the battery installed.*** TL;DR ***Yes, in general I recommend this diving flashlight. And not only for diving but for everyday activities as well. It can be used underwater and in the open air without overheating. It's very well built, outputs 1000 lumen (tested to be true), comes with one 18650 rechargeable battery, and a carrying case. Plus, it has 2 brightness levels and a SOS mode for emergencies. And its unique feature is an exceptionally bright green laser. Things I don't like are that you need to cycle through all modes to turn it off and that brightness is not sufficient for underwater explorations. But end-to-end, it's rock-solid headlight that I like very much. Solid 5 stars.+++ Pros +++1) Very well built.2) Has internal thermal regulation.3) Green laser is exceptionally bright.4) Can be used in the open air without overheating.5) Outputs 1000 lumen (tested to be true).6) Comes with one 18650 rechargeable battery.7) Has 2 brightness levels and SOS mode.8) Weighs only 271 grams (with the battery).--- Cons ---1) Must cycle through all modes to turn it off.2) 1000 lumens is not enough for underwater light.3) One-page manual doesn't tell you much.

Good Quality Light
The RAYVENGE J2 Scuba Diving Light, 2-in-1 with 1000 Lumens White Light is a good quality light that I ordered for my son who likes to free dive. He related that it is well made, easily chargeable, and that he likes the laser option as well. Overall - very nice light
