Cheaper than the vets and speeds up recovery of injuries.
We recently spent a large sum of money in veterinary charges as our Jack Russel Terrier got an infection/injury to its front paw. As a result of this he had to wear one of those silly looking ''lampshade'' implements on his head to stop him worrying at his paw; this was great, yet not very practical for walks and fun so we purchased a set of 4 booties for £5.55. Well believe me when I say it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the vets . They come in different sizes to fit all dogs and they are easy to put on; which is a big plus point. They have Velcro straps which can be adjusted for comfort and they are also waterproof, with non slip soles. Also they are breathable so the paws don't overheat or sweat, which can make healing more difficult. The booties are great for daily use and can be used for other reasons as well as protection against chewing and licking. In very hot weather they can be used to stop your dog getting burnt paws and the same goes for extreme cold and if salt has been put onto roads and pavements. All in all I think for the price these are a great buy. I really don't have any negative points to give which suits me. If your dog's paws need protection for the short term these are ideal and I would recommend them to anyone.

Basic and effective
I was sceptical, as my gung-ho terrier mix managed to cast off every sock I used to protect an injured paw pad. However, these do stay on. Tips: trim your dog's claws including dew claws. Use a close fitting paw sock for extra comfort. Make sure the paw is well down the boot. When tying the velcro strap, tie it tight. Your dog will look at this thing on its foot like WHAT THE HECK. It's hoof shaped when fitted. A treat to encourage walking will sort out the dog's peeve. The base is very tough, but don't expect them to be waterproof in tall wet grass as the boot top is breathable. However these are effective, and solve the problem of keeping your dog's wound dry and protected from dirt, while it heals. Don't let your dog overdo it. I'd buy these again! And they're washable in mild detergent, air drying. Hope this helps.

Well fitting boot for a springer spaniel
Bought for a springer spaniel. They fit really well. He has a cut on one of his pads. As these boots have a mesh on top of the foot his foot can breathe and still allow protection to the underside of his foot. Elasticated strap with Velcro ensures the boot stays on.Best boot I've found so far would highly recommend them and will buy again.

I bought these to prevent my dog licking his paws ...
I bought these to prevent my dog licking his paws. He pulls socks and everything else we've tried off. The velcro on these helps keep them in place and they appear well made and are soft.I've not tried them outside yet.My dog doesn't seem to appreciate them quite as much as me.I bought LARGE for a 30kg English Bulldog.

Strap in wrong place
At first, I thought these were well designed dog boots, but I have had a major problem with them. My dog is recovering from a cut pad and needs protection when she goes out for short walks. However, the boots have further damaged my lab's foot. The strap which secures the boot goes over the dew claw and presses it close to the foot. Dew claws are usually curved and sharp and the strap has pressed the sharp dew claw into my dog's flesh and caused a further injury. I also initially used the boot for a day when her paw was still bandaged in the hope that it would stop the dressing from getting wet. However, only the sole is waterproof, so walking in very short grass meant the bandages were soaked and had to come off. Very poor design.

Nope...not paw shaped!
These are not paw shaped! They'd be great for a baby (with four feet), but not a dog. The designers don't seem to have noticed that dogs walk on the tips of their legs i.e. paws, not great big flat soled feet. Having looked again I see that other manufacturers make them the right shape with paw pad soles and longer leg 'shafts'. They also need to be front or back opening. Try getting an injured paw through a tight piece of elastic. Ow!

Became damaged in 30 minutes
These boots appeared ideal for my terrier who had suffered pad damage to his back foot. The delivery was very quick and I was delighted with their appearance. Easy to put on, and my dog was very happy to walk in them. Due to his recovering from injury, he is on short lead-walks only, so 30 minutes later and the above photos show 2 of the boots damaged at the toe. These were worn on the front feet, the 2 back ones were fine. Obviously, I expected some wear and tear, but not after just 30 minutes walking! The seller readily agreed to give me a refund but as I still need boots for my dog, will now search again for somes which are hopefully better made and of harder-wearing material.

Excellent anti slip boots
These were bought to stop our elderly dog slipping on wooden floors and they work brilliantly. They are very easy to put on, are lightweight and she doesn't attempt to take them off. Wish I'd had them when she'd cut one if her pads as they would have been very good protection.
