I found this solar powered outdoor/ indoor light to be packed with so many lighting options to choose from that I can now change the theme of my outdoor space depending on my mood or even set it up ready for an event such as Halloween.Larger in size than I had anticipated, this light measured in at around 15cm by 15cm in size but still remained iextremely lightweight to hold, making mounting it to the wall using the screws provided relatively easy to perform. Failing that an adhesive pad had also been supplied in the box.Powered by either Solar power which was my main reason for choosing this light or mains electric using the USB cable provided. This light with its super bright LED bulb really gives out an extraordinary amount of brightness.Various colour options can be selected using the downloaded compatible app and I was even given the choice to have my light match the music being played in the garden nearby it in order to create a dramatic lighting display.Controlled by either the downloaded app, by myself, motion activated or even by Alexa.This light has everything I could of wished for in an outdoor light and more.Waterproof, easy clean casing.Definitely recommend 👌

I found the set-up for this light easy even though the instructions are a little limited. You'll need to install the app and pair the light to get started. Within a few minutes though, the light was up and running and I was able to check out it's functions.I really like the choice of colours and modes offered and the dimmer has been especially useful. One issue I have found is while set to certain colours, there's a high pitched sound from the light. I checked with other members of the house and they hear it too so no madness yet!I'm not sure if this unit is faulty or if it's just a symptom of certain settings? I have only tested the light indoors so far but if it was outside I doubt it would be much of a problem.There's been no notable problems with the PIR sensor and the timer controls operate as expected.If you intend to have more than one of these lights installed, you can create a group for them and operate all lights simultaneously from the app which is definitely a plus! There's also a disco-type mode which will change the light in rhythm with your music - very cool!I charged the light via the included USB cable so can't speak to how well the solar panel works but I'll try to remember to update my review once I do know!It'll be a great addition to my garden.

Tried for hours will not connect to Alexa

This light is an excellent idea. But unfortunately, I had to buy a Bluetooth gateway, to get it to work, for my wife and Alexa. The description isn’t clear on that, only a very small picture saying Bluetooth gateway required for Alexa.Also the solar charging isn’t working. I set it to minimal usage but the battery drains within a few days. Like I said it would be good if it worked as it’s supposed to.Maybe the solar panel isn’t the correct one for uk( although cold it has been sunny).

If you want to create a funky atmosphere in your garden for a summer party or BBQ this solar powered light will provide it.I've had it installed for a couple of weeks and the IP64 rating is deserved, it's had a lot of weather thrown at it from rain to frost and a bit of snow recently and still charged, however, there appears to be a bit of confusion on the product description as in some places it's rated IP64 in others IP65.As with all solar powered lights you need to ensure that the sun can actually charge it so it has to be in a area where it will pick up sunshine and the more exposed it is to the sun the better. It is quite easy to attach to a wall, whether it be brick or as in my case a wooden gazebo and once fixed is near impossible to detach from it's moorings unless you lift it off and take it indoors to charge - USB cable provided. A nice touch with this light is that you can use it indoors as well if you need to take the party indoors. Really quite bright and fully charged will last for 8hrs+. If you want to access some of the funkier aspects of the light you can Bluetooth it to a phone app (Smart Life) and that gives you a huge range of colours and the Bluetooth connectivity piggybacked off a smartphone also means that you can use Alexa (or HeyGoogle) to control it's features. The motion sensor is really good and worked picking up motion up to around 30ft. Whilst in just white light mode the illumination is good, once you start to access the coloured modes the illumination does dip. Not a bad light, but even though you get an impressive amount of features a tad overpriced.

Build quality is OK but only considering the amount of features this packs in, if it were a standard solar light for this price I'd expect a bit better but the extra features is where this shines.The app is decent enough with all the features you'd need to take advantage of the light, the google/Alexa integration can come in handy but I've found I've not used it that much personally.The RGB feature is nice but probably not that useful outside of the holiday season unless you have this in a socialising area. The light itself is bright enough for a small area but its not going to illuminate a dark garden for anything more than finding your way in the dark unless you're directly under it. Perfect for finding your keys when you get home or putting the bins out though.Motion detection works as expected no complaints there. The battery. if just left to solar, will probably struggle in the winter months, well at least in an area where motion will be triggered a lot or if you have it on all night. Although to this devices credit you can charge it separately so it might be worth a top up now and then when the nights are long.All in all if you want the extra features or this is going to be in a social area I can see the appeal, probably not what you're looking for if you just want something simple to find your way about in the garden/drive.
