Great little display cabinet (detailed review)
You get a lot of bang for the buck with this cabinet and more if you can catch it on sale. This is not a high-end piece of furniture, but you can't tell the difference between it and a more expensive unit once it's assembled. If you set your expectations to that before purchase, you will be well pleased with it. Assembly was simple enough if you're good with your hands. If you have no experience with furniture assembly, you might want to get some help and/or watch a video or two. There are some on youtube that will guide you through the process with this specific cabinet. Use a drill/phillips bit or a power screwdriver for installing the anchor pegs and it will save you a lot of time. Use a good screwdriver to turn the lock screws during the assembly. The cabinet includes a screwdriver that could work in a pinch for all steps, but do yourself a favor and have the right tools on hand. I've done three of these already including a corner unit from Brottar and tools make a difference. Also, one package of this cabinet I received looked like it had been through hell, but rest assured all pieces were packed great and nothing was damaged during shipping. There might be minor defects or blemishes on some components so if that's a deal breaker for you then look elsewhere. The components were very dusty from the factory so be prepared to clean everything with a micro-fiber cloth and some mild dish soap. Same thing applies for the plexiglass side panels. Peel the protective plastic off before assembly. That is a tedious process trying to get all the little pieces off cleanly from under the frame and it's better done before assembly. The panels will get smudged and dusty during assembly but microfiber cloth and dish soap will clean them right up. The front glass doors are the last step and once installed can be cleaned with regular glass cleaner and a dry microfiber cloth. The lights work great and have plenty of adjustment. The only thing I'd suggest for the manufacturer is to include a save settings option because if you use a power strip for off/on like I do the settings you prefer are lost and it reverts back to the default blue light on brightest. Not a big deal though because it's easy to get it back to how you like it with a couple of taps on the control buttons. A remote control option would be another nice feature because if you put two of these cabinets side-by-side you can't get your hand to the buttons unless you leave space between them. The motion detection works great as well so you could leave power on all the time. It's just a tad sensitive. If you've read this far, you are fantastic and obviously have above average intelligence. God made you unique in this world and there is no one else like you.

Excellent display cabinet
This display case is well-designed, well-engineered, and the assembly instructions are mostly clear and comprehensive. It has illumination on every shelf and glass doors. It is just what I need to display my art collection, as shown in the photo. The seller had great customer service and sent me a replacement part for one that got damaged.I do have a few suggestions to make the assembly easier.1. It uses pin-and-cam fasteners. The “two in one nut” (part 2) should be seated in the bottom of the hole. And turn the aperture oriented toward the receiving pin. Tighten the nut firmly for strong joints.2. A long shank screwdriver will work better in some cramped locations.3. In Step 18, brace the parts at right angles. This assembly is risky and can easily twist and cause damage. I did.4. Also in Sep 18, use spacers to make the connection in two steps and ease the simultaneous alignment of the eight pins and holes. It works easier with two people.5. In Steps 30 & 35, loosen the top nuts, pry the joint open, and insert spacers to allow clearance for the glass door hinge pins. You will need two people for these steps. Then remove the spacers and tighten the nuts firmly.

I Like It!
After watching the videos associated with this, I decided to get one. It arrived quickly and safely. The instructions are pretty straightforward and I recommend sitting down with them and getting familiar with each step before you start unboxing everything.Keep in mind that this is not some $2K high end piece of furniture. I got mine on sale for a tenth of that number. It is sturdy, has great features, and competently displays my treasures. It is finished well and should look good in your home just as it does in mine.My top tips for assembly: I did this by myself but an extra pair of hands would have been better. Taking my time it was about 3.5 hours of assembly which might have gone a bit faster had I not also been watching (more listening) to an NFL game.Next, take your time. Make sure things line up and you tighten each connector. READ the instructions - especially the helpful notes about alignment for certain items.Once you get the two stages together test the light strips before you move it into place. My bottom two strips would not light up, but the top two (the most important to me) worked great.BEFORE you add the glass doors, I highly recommend moving the unit into the place you want it to reside. Once fully assembled, the unit will weigh @ 90 pounds and it is far easier to move into place without all that glass. Getting the doors installed by myself was, let's call it interesting. ;-)Pay attention to the instructions for assembling those doors. Some pieces are for the right side and some are for the left even though initially they all look the same. The protective covering for the side panels did not want to let go on a few of them. Take your time and don't scratch anything by going wild with any sort of blade. It will all come off with some patience and persistence.Once fully assembled, you will need one or more micro fiber towels to get the dust and smudges from the shelves, side panels, and especially the glass doors. Static electricity is not your friend. ;-) If you have some of those cotton gloves they will come in very handy.Others have commented about the assembly holes that are very visible inside the top two sections. I ordered some hole covers/stickers and placing those over these will solve the problem.I got all my things into the unit and they look great! The motion detector for the lights is a nice touch if you don't want to leave them always on. I am very happy with this unit. You may be wondering why I gave this five stars when the bottom two shelves would not light up. In summary, I contacted the company to see if there were any tips or tricks that might get them going. There were none. As I can easily place lights I already have to illuminate the bottom shelves this was not a deal breaker. The company representative apologized and offered to send another unit at no cost to me and I did not have to return the original. In my book that is very generous and I can certainly make use of that second unit. They promptly shipped it out and I already have it. New Year's day it will get put together. I greatly appreciate their responsiveness and customer care. That alone is worth five stars.I will certainly make them my go to provider when I need another unit. Collections never seem to stop growing and expanding. ;-)
