Yum
I ordered this along with another brand to obtain free shipping, and this one knocks them out of the running. No overbearing smell, airy and light on the tongue, and tastes quite nice if you're a fan of squid. Kinda small bag but perfectly valid for foreign import.Would recommend for those trying to diversify their snack game.

Beware: Lead
I really wanted to like this. As soon as I got the bag I immediately opened it and tried some. I was pleasantly surprised, it's basically teriyaki squid jerky. It had been sitting in my pantry for a couple of days when I curiously looked at the reviews and saw a bunch of people mentioning a warning about how this product can expose you to lead. Not a Prop 65 warning from what I can tell, which leads me to believe there is serious risk of lead exposure if you choose to eat this stuff. Be careful.

Husband loves these!
This is my second purchase for my husband. He loves them, so I bought two this time. The price is right and service excellent, they arrived promptly.

I love it but the family cat loves it more
Basically it is dried squid that has been cured with salt & sugar. So it is a little sweeter than people normally expect. And as others have pointed out yes you need a good strong peppermint or spearmint gum or mouthwash after eating because it will make your breath very smelly. On the other hand it is the perfect snack for cats! The family cat has an almost physical reaction to this product. Normally I take about 1 tsp of it and then shred it using tweezers until it is a mass of finely shredded pieces that are almost hair-like and no longer than the first 2 knuckles of my pinkie finger. This I feed the cat one strand at a time giving enough time to chew and swallow. Because I do this slowly to draw the pleasure out this takes the cat about 15 minutes to fully eat which the cat enormously enjoys. This has caused the entire family to rename this from dried squid to "cat crack". :)You can tell if the cat can smell or like it because the pupils become dilated and turn almost completely black. Start feeding the cat and the cat will literally put up with anything to get it. Pretty amusing really. With 2.0 ounces in a package a single package should last the cat about 2 months with 1tsp per day or every other day as YMMV.Update: Learned that you shouldn't leave the entire package out at room temperature because while it is dried it is not necessarily well preserved enough so this may cause the cat some tummy trouble. Additionally because this snack is so high in protein you want to start off small as a treat rather than as a meal so it supplements the regular diet. While I did not try to mix a small shredded portion with regular food I think doing so might work well especially if you're having trouble with your cat eating. So a little moderation would be a good idea. Otherwise everything stands as-is though now the cat equates opening any ziplock bag as treat time. LOL.

Need to get used to.
My first time trying this, and I didn't really enjoy it. It was too fishy, the smell was also very strong and fishy, it smells like the dried fish pieces I buy for my cats which also have a very strong fishy smell. If you were use to this then the quantity for the price is a no brainer to buy this. Anyways you would need to have an acquired taste to enjoy this and most Europeans/westerners would probably not enjoy this unless you grew up with it.

Not Impressed, but that’s not the products fault
No fault of the product, I was expecting something else like chips or whatever but I didn’t like it. If you like dried squid, I’m sure this is great! It was pretty tender and didn’t have a bad flavor but I was looking for something else so I didn’t care for it and fed it to my dogs as treats, they seemed to love it. I don’t think it’s a really good price for how little you get, but I’m not sure how much squid normally goes for so maybe it is a good price.

Amazing flavor
Has amazing flavor, my grandma got me into Thai brand and I loved it. I just have a problem where is I eat too much it makes my teeth and gums sore, that’s partially my fault but I had no issues with the product itself

Disgusting Mermaid Vomit!!!!
Oh I wanted to like this stuff soo much. A soft jerky I could keep in my purse for emergency snacks sounded great plus I have been wanting so much to try squid and While it is soft that's the only good thing about it This snack was tasted by Myself,My husband and his brother and we all unanimously hated it. It smells like fish food to me I thought It tasted like sickeningly sweet imitation crab meat that had been rolled up into soggy seaweed. The strangest part about the experience was that upon each chew (I kept chewing hoping it was just an acquired taste) it would begin to taste kind of alright and then back to disgustingly sweet fake crabmeat with horrible hints of seaweed. This is coming from a person who Loves Spicy surimi rolls/ Surimi rolls. Store bought homemade I like it all,This is relevant for those who don't know because They are made with Imitation crab meat which I love and Seaweed sheets which I also love and did not know could be terrible. My husband thought It tasted like a mermaids vomit and that it smelled chemically or synthetic he was a sport though and kept chewing until he was done with his piece. My Brother in law wrinkled his nose up exclaimed it smelled like poison and barely let it touch his tongue and lips before spitting it out and refusing to finish the taste test claiming it tasted worse than motor oil and gasoline which he has apparently had the misfortune of tasting. It should be noted that both my husband and I the only ones who finished eating our piece became nauseous about 15 min later it was just that bad now the mere smell of it makes me queasy. On a side note my beloved cat was very interested in trying some she stole the piece my B.I.L had spat out but we retrieved it from her because as I said she is beloved and I am careful with her.
