ORICO2.5 Inch External Hard Drive Enclosure USB 3.0 Transparent Case SATA Reader for 9.5mm & 7mm 2.5" SSD and HDD

What a great product, very easy and quick to put a drive inside and seems to work well. Have purchased some more Orico products since and been very impressed how good they are.

I saw and advert for one of these and was surprised that it even existed. I have several hard drives that I had removed from old PC's & laptops and from recently upgraded machines to SSD drives. They've been sitting in a drawer as I didn't know what to do with them. Then seeing the advert made me wonder if Amazon had any like that and, yes they do. I wasn't sure if it would work after seeing some of the reviews but I thought if it does work then for the price I could get all my old hard drives working as extra storage e.g. for photos or just to save each drive for a particular purpose. I thought it might be a gamble but actually no gamble at all. I was absolutely amazed that after I had inserted my old drive into the housing and connected the cables and plugged it in the blue light came on it was picked up immediately by my pc and, more to the point, it works perfectly. Now my once redundant drives are all in use again which means I have all this extra storage. Fantastic. I am very happy.

My wife's laptop power supply failed yesterday. I removed the SSD from the machine, installed it in the Drive Enclosure and I could access all the files to use in setting up the replacement.Trivially easy.

Great design. Works well. Ideal for 9mm thick drives, but 5mm drives needed a foam strip to keep the disk flat against the inside of the base.This did not disconnect, but long term would wear connector? Foam insert is an easy fix (I used a thin strip of sticky-backed foam, agreed to the end of the cover)

So far i have bought 2 of these enclosures 1 for a PS4 and the other for a PC to use as external storage.I used an old 500GB Sata hard drive from a 2012 laptop which was 9.5mm in thickness and added this to the enclosure. The usb cable provided for the enclosure is the same one used on an official external PS4 enclosure (Don't be fooled by Sony stating you can only use their own external hard drives or approved PS4 hard drives)I used AOMEI free partition software on Windows 10 to FORMAT the hard drive as EXFAT file format and plugged into the front USB port of the PS4, which picked it up straight away. Obviously you have to go into the system settings on PS4 to enable extended storage.

After my memory block for work breaking, (the lead snapped off in it) I googled it and a YouTube video advised me to purchase this and it would allow me to fix it. I’m no professional so just chanced it. I was so happy when this worked it literally took me -0 mins to do and all my work is now saved. -so easy to do

I received the product and within 5 minutes I had a 2.5" HDD installed and recovered my data. I like the fact that it is a toolless design, no screwdriver required like my failed one. This product is a handy peripheral to have if you still have laptop hdd's with data you want to recover.

Lo de que sea transparente le da un toque tecnológico que mola. No se calienta nada y las luces azules, por la noche lo hace gracioso. Producto muy recomendable y mucho más por el precio.

Ottimo prodotto per recuperare una unità di memoria estratta da qualche portatile oppure per metterci una unità di memoria acquistata senza "guscio".E' semplice da aprire, è facile inserirvi l'unità di memoria, è un po' più complicato reinserire il coperchio: i giochi sono piccoli e la plastica fa un po' fatica a scorrere.Nel complesso è comunque utile e consigliato.

Fonctionne parfaitement.Facile d'ouverture et de fermeture.1 voyant rouge de tension et un bleu pour les accès disque.

l'ho acquistato per le recensioni.funziona benissimo, poi per il fatto estetico
