Kuhn Rikon Easy-Clean Garlic Press, No Need to Peel, 7” Red

This is a review of the composite polymer version, not the metal version. I’ve been using a heavy cast metal no-name garlic press for nearly 20 years before I bought this one after the old one finally broke. I’ll also note I’m not at all impressed with any of the Pampered Chef versions since they clog easily when pressing more than a couple of cloves. That is my main complaint with this one - it is only good for maybe 2 small cloves before you have to clean it out. It’s okay to clean, but a matching plastic tool to clean out the holes would make it much easier. So it’s okay if you only need a clove or 2 of garlic, otherwise keep searching. I just bought a vintage Italian made Brevatatto that looks promising, wish me luck.

I like everything about it I have no complaints

I wanted to like this press for the price, but it wasn't worth the price because now I have to buy the steel one. This thing is plastic that flexes when you squeeze down on the garlic. Also, the pin in the handle pivot is not secured. You can just push out the pin with a pencil, it's loose. Not threaded or riveted WTH? I pressed 4 garlics and the pin backed out a little and the handle popped up. Sure, I can put it back together, and shove the pin back in, BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. Do not buy a plastic garlic press.

I bought this garlic press after my OXO GoodGrips garlic press rusted after many years of use. A quick look at America’s Test Kitchen and I decided to try this model. I am so glad I did! It is very easy to use and easier to clean! Definitely glad I purchased this garlic press!

I just ordered a new garlic press because this one is horrible. It's plastic and when you press the garlic, it hardly comes out. I had my husband use it when i needed 4 cloves pressed for a recipe. Will be donating it as I just ordered a different press that hopefully functions much easier. Simply a pain to use this.

Price is TGTBT, the product is kinda feel cheap in hand. Not sure this is actually Kuhn Rikon product, I suspect it's a knockoff. Give it 2 star for good price and able to preform task.

Simple, easy on the hands, few moving parts, and more effective than all other garlic presses. Most importantly, the tolerances are so precise that there is almost no loss of garlic.

Requires a significant amount of force to press the garlic because the apparatus doesn't have enough weight to it on it's own. All the pressing has to come from the user. Therefore not easy to use.Very easy to clean though.

Muy fácil de usar y de limpiar, es la primera vez que tengo una prensa de ajo pero ya no podría vivir sin una. Muy recomendado aparte de que es muy estético.
