Such a inspiring book with beautiful photos of flowers and practical tips on how to achieve it!
I am feeling so inspired reading this book! The photos are gorgeous, the chapters are very useful as a practical guide of what to choose including the author’s own favourites. The bouquets are stunning and as the contents are described, one can then use that as inspiration when choosing what to grow. Understanding how much interesting foliage and grasses that are needed was also helpful as it would be easy as an allotment rookie to be blinded by the show stopping flowers and only grow them which would not work as an arrangement. This book will inspire me when I will be preparing my allotment with the new wooden frames to form borders and weeding, ready for planting (mostly) next spring! Until then I will be ordering seeds, plan my what to grow and enjoy the process! It is also good information on how to prepare the cut flowers to make them last as long as possible in the vase. #perfection

it would be much nicer with glossy photographs !!
based on the many extremely positive reviews I purchased this book with high hopesalthough very nice overall I found it rather disappointing as all the photographs are printed in a matte finishnot quite the high gloss coffee table book I was expecting !!

Beautiful book with all the information you need
I don't normally leave reviews but I think this book is so great that I wanted to take the time. I enjoy gardening (in a fairly amateur, light touch way), and I love flowers in the house, but have never grown my own flowers for cutting. I'm now planning to take on a large allotment next year, and decided to allocate some space to growing cut flowers, but I didn't really have any idea where to start so I got this book. Anyway, it's perfect - firstly, it's really inspirational, with amazing photos of flower arrangements, all of which I now want to recreate. Secondly, it's packed full of really helpful information - planting plans, photos of lots of varieties of all the different flowers so you can buy the ones you like, and sections on how to condition and arrange your cut flowers, and lots more. Thirdly, it's written in a really friendly and easy to read way, I really liked her 'voice'. (The current 'top critical review' says the book is 'dull and impersonal', which I can't understand at all!). I've already learned a lot from this book and it's helped me with my planning, and I expect I'll use it a lot more for actually growing the things.

Fabulous detailed and colourful book for growing your own
Very rare for me to leave a review but this book is fabulous! I am new to cut flower gardening other than sweet peas and this book is packed with tips. It has loads of plant specific advice and Clare shares her favourites. I also like that she advises on how to forage to add to your displays. The downsize is that I am spending a fortune on seeds and summer bulbs and I may need to move house to have more growing space!

My Most Favourite Cut Flower/Gardening Bible
Absolutely adore this book. Find both the words and photography so stylish and inspiring. Clare’s book is so incredibly well written and informative and has helped me shape my own flower plot under her advice. I have recommended this book to so many other people and have purchased additional copies for gifts. It has become my cut flower bible and I refer to it on a regular basis, if only to be inspired by the photography. If you love flowers it is a must buy item.
