This jacket is definitely waterproof; I tested the material underneath a raging faucet and the water did not absorb at all.The soft shell of this jacket, while waterproof, is not at all rubbery, noisy, and crinkly as other waterproof materials. It also does not wrinkle, and I would say it looks exactly like the photos.The inner lining is warm but still thin, and this jacket is breathable and it is quite easy to move inside of it.The pockets of the jacket blend in with the seams of the jacket, although I question the durability of the zippers on the pockets (which are different from the main zipper, which is thicker and seems more durable).There is also a small pocket in the lining of the jacket that is large enough to store change, a small wallet, or keys.The XS fit me pretty well (5'2" and 110lbs) with room to spare for an extra fleece layer. The shape of the jacket is much more feminine on the sides, and is slightly tapered for a more form fitting look.I don't really like the peekaboo fleece on the collar, I think it's to hide the zipper but I don't really see the point of it because the contrasting color draws more attention.This jacket is great if you're looking for a rain jacket while still desiring a bit of warmth.

I bought this coat thinking it was soft and cozy like one my husband bought at another store. But this coat is more stiff than soft. I wish I could've touched the material, but that's what you get when you buy online. Lol! The material is waterproof so I think that's why the material is more stiff. The coat definitely looks nice and doesn't get wrinkled! The inside of the sleeves is not made of slick material so it catches if your wearing long sleeves. But it's really nice if you're just wearing short sleeves because it's not cold to the touch on your arms. I live in Wyoming so this jacket is perfect for protection against the wind but it's not super thick and warm for the snowy season. Also, the collar is made to stand up so it doesn't pay down nicely. But it's comfortable enough while it stands up; there's nothing scratchy to hurt your neck. I wish I had bought a size larger because I like having a little extra room to move around. The material is not stretchy. The gray inside material is very soft. We have two gray kitties and the fur is easily swiped off.

Ordered in error, but decided to keep it due to higher than normal quality for a jacket windbreaker.Fine quality attire appropriate for work or events a little more formal.--Fabric feels a little stiff when raising arms overhead, but that keeps the Wrinkle-Free formal appearance.--Seams sewn tightly, linearly.--All-metal zippers higher quality than other jackets owned.--Vertical pockets hard to detect.--Sleeve length accurate in photo.--Pocket lining lining warm; good thickness & did not get punctured by sharp metal point of mechanical pencil.I essentially beat it up, and it still looks outstanding. Worn several times during excessive car travel; sat on it several times, crumpled up in a ball for use as a pillow. Fell on floor and walked on. Dog slept on it, and almost no fur clung to outer fabric. Hardly a wrinkle. Easily wiped off dried food with wet washcloth.Still looks new.

Perfect jacket just missing a hood!!! I bought this for work for when it rains as I am a Gate Attendee. I bought a 3x which I usually wear a 2xl for shirts but I wanted a little extra room. Fits perfectly and kept me warm and dry during the all day long steady light to heavy rain. I would definitely recommend it!!! Light weight with thin microfleece lining even in the pockets!

This is a nice jacket. I got it big so I could layer underneath and it's not going to work like that. However, it is lined so it should be warm on it's own.

This jacket is very nice and warm, but I would recommend one size up. It fits a little snug.

Jacket came in several days earlier than estimated arrival time! Super happy about that. Jacket came in packaged perfectly. Fits very true to size. The size chart is 100% accurate. Color is true to photo. I got mine in the dark purple/plum color. It is a soft shell, but very, very warm! Soft on the inside and windbreakery on the outside. I ordered another Charles River jacket, too. I want this same one in teal!

Great fit. Big enough to wear a sweater under if needed!

Good quality, just runs a size smaller.
