Duck Goes Potty (Hello Genius)

We originally checked this book out from our local library. My boys ages (1 and 3) who were reticent to start using the potty, fell in love with this book. I immediately ordered it. The copy arrived beautiful and in perfect shape. The story is short, funny, and really helps my boys be excited about learning to use the potty. It also goes perfectly well with my youngest son's portable potty seat. The combination of the two items together are staples in our diaper bag. This book really helps build morale when one of my boys is scared about using a public toilet. I would definitely either give this as a gift or recommend it to any parent who is teaching a child to use the potty.

I got this book because my mil told me it was a good book to help your child understand potty time and it has helped me with my toddler tremendously. I swapped the ducks name for my child and it was a fun read and it allowed my toddler to understand potty time

My toddler is obsessed with ducks. I got this book as a “poop book” that my little one could use while sitting on the potty chair pooping. My child LOVES this book! Definitely recommend!

In case you can't tell, we're potty training. The trainee likes to have stories read to him as he tries to make things happen. What better kind of story than one about potty training??We like this book because Duck TRIES to get to the potty but sometimes he misses - there is a picture of some poop on the floor and a few potty puddles where duck didn't quite make it. Duck also falls into the potty which is possible but I don't like how Momma Duck reacts to that situation and change up her response so she sounds concerned about Duck.I might also like to see Duck helping clean up when he makes messes, but we do our own version where we rub the page and help clean up with Duck.*Note* This duck and Momma are the same as in "No More Pacifier Duck." This is a good book to help teach little ones about going potty. Sometimes it's hard to find a book to help with that. But this one i think does, especially with it's pictures and helpful story.

This book helped my son potty train very quickly. It is short and to the point. Our family loves this book.

If you don’t have any Hello Genius books then you need to other them ASAP!!! My son learned Please, Thank you, excuse me, and Sorry right away! And we would do sign language with it at one year old. Now he’s two and basically reads the books to me. Little lion shares, little tiger picks up and Pony Brushes His Teeth are our new favorites!! Also added Little Dinos Don’t Hit as that has been a problem lately. We are working on the potty too so we love this one as well!!! I suggest ALL the books!!!! They are WORTH IT!!!

Wow this book is so cute. My son, who loves animals and is learning to potty train, really loves it so far. He is 21 mo the and the book is suuuper simple but actually has a story. So that’s great. I do wish the duck didn’t fall in the potty on one page but whatever. It’s good to show what accidents on the floor look like, and that those are not good. He wants to read it every potty time so he can say “uh oh”. It also teaches him to stay seated which we are working on.

My daughter loves reading this book when she sits potty and preferred herself as "big girl" like the duck in the book.

It's simple and adorable. Perfect for kids who love ducks!
