Barbie Fashionistas 59 Pink Halter Floral Skirt Doll

Love this doll. I just wish Fashionistas were made with made to move bodies and didn't all seem to come with sneakers. This doll has a beautiful face sculpt, and has uniquely gorgeous & incredibly textured hair (please Mattel, make more like her), and while her dress is quite stunning, and she comes with a lovely gold bracelet, she is (again) stunted with a designer outfit and sneakers. I tossed my dolls sneakers and replaced them with glittered purple heels (and also gave her a 'made to move body' in order to display her more easily.The one flaw with the dolls appearance is the ridiculous shade of lipstick they chose for her. I repainted mine, but otherwise she's a winner all the way. I also love the fact Mattel has been creating more varieties of skin tone for the ethnic dolls. It makes them far more interesting for adamant collectors. Just make sure to check their make up colours, the pink on this dolls lips should be more a more flattering choice to suit the dolls skin tone, and thereby impressing parents eager to buy for their kids collections. No one wants an ugly doll.

This is a beautiful Original body style Barbie doll with a wonderful Afro hairstyle. The texture of the hair is great with a side part on the right hand side. She has prominent cheekbones with two-tone brown eyes. Her hair tone is a dark brown with her painted on eyebrows to match. The hair is full and fairly lush and should be a lot of fun to style.Barbie has a medium/dark brown skin tone. Her right arm is slightly bent at the elbow and her left arm is fairly straight. Both palms face toward her body. On both hands, only the ring and middle fingers are fused. She has flat feet and is articulated only at the neck, shoulders and hips. She has a slightly open smile with medium pink lips which match the halter top of the dress she comes in. I am considering painting her lips to a deeper tone as others have done.She wears a one-piece halter top dress. The material of the dress is stretch both at top and bottom and closes in the back with hook and loop and ties at the halter top with a matching magenta pink ribbon. The halter is magenta pink and the skirt is a medium bluish green with gold flowers with magenta flowers printed on it. The dress is hemstitched at the top and bottom. She wears a plastic metallic gold slip on bracelet and medium purple tennis style slip on plastic shoes.

La Tropic Cutie (o falda tropical en amazon españa) es preciosa. Le falla el color de pintalabios, pero nada que no se pueda arreglar.El tono del cuerpo es bastante oscuro. Es más oscuro que el de la Made to Move pero no llega a ser tan oscuro como el de la Barbie compositora, por lo que no nos valen sus cuerpos si la queremos articular, hay que recurrir a opciones más caras.

I bought this doll to add to my daughter's (read: me!) Barbie collection - I am really impressed with Mattel/Barbie's fashionista range and their diversity in Barbies dolls in terms of their hues and sizes.This by far is my current favourite as it so represents my daughter's cultural and racial identity - her hair is lovely and so full! Deffo will be buying as gifts for my little nieces/goddaughters.
