Get the basic version
The seat slider function is awful, and makes a good chair bad. It is secured by extremely flimsy plastic washers, that will either break in shipping (Most were shattered in the bottom of the box) or after a few days of use. Once these are gone, the seat is loose, and wobbles, making loud noises whenever you sit down/get up/shift around. It also has a spring just behind the seat, which catches and snags loose shirt tails, or dangling head phone cables.Everything else about the chair is excellent, it is extremely comfortable, and feels sturdy and durable. The basic version of the chair without slider is far superior. (Note that his chair is sold under several brand names, some of which are cheaper, with equivalent build quality)
