We purchased 6 of these Luvan Coffee Carafes for a special Grandparents' Day for students at our Christian school. These look so nice and are easily handled. I tested these to see how long it would keep drinks hot. It was well over 12 hours and the water was still steaming. We'll use these again for functions needing hot coffee.

Absolutely love this thing- it’s classy, easy to use, yes if it’s super hot a seal can develope due to pressure making it hard to open but I’m not bothered by this.

This was purchased for use in my RV to hold hot water for hand washing and an occasional dish. Water is heated in a tea kettle and transfered to the carafe. It will keep the water HOT for 12 to 14 hrs. It does pour slowly but I can live with that. It replaced an older carafe that had stopped sealing properly. I am pleased with the purchase and would buy again.

The thermal carafe works really well, it keeps my hot liquids warm for hours.

I got this to store cold water on day trips, camping etc. I had looked at a number of insulated water jugs but this was a cheaper option and I liked having a push button spout. Before using it the first time I filled it half with ice, half with tap water and left it in my garage, which stays pretty warm in the summer. After 72 hours it was still 1/8 full of ice and the water was ice cold. My real world usage has been as good-- even sitting in a hot car all day or at the beach the water stays ice cold. The handle feels solid, the cap seals tight and the push button mechanism works well and doesn't leak. The black finish looks good, but I do wish it had a rubberized/silicone bottom instead of hard plastic. Washing hasn't been an issue, but since I only use it for cold water I just rinse it out when finished and let it air dry. This has been better than I expected. I just wish they made a 1 gallon size as well. 68 oz just isn't enough water for 2 days. I'll probably get a second one, but that's not ideal.

I really wanted to like this carafe. It looks great and does ok keeping liquids hot. But as other reviewers have stated, the pouring mechanism is garbage. It never poured cleanly, like the opening is never fully clear. My coffee sort of dribbles out. Also because of the shape of the cavity, a lot of coffee gets trapped on a large lip, so you have to take the top off to pour out all your coffee. The pouring mechanism has since failed, and this item is basically useless to me now.

This is my second thermal carafe. I had one that looked exactly like this one but from another Chinese company. I used it successfully for 4 years and the seal finally deteriorated. So I got this one. It's total garbage. The seal does not seal. As in, not at all. I washed it, put water in it to rinse it, crammed the lid shut and held it while I sloshed the water around inside. Water rained out everywhere. Not only is it not airtight, but it's not water tight. I figured maybe it would work after all, so I made a pot of coffee and put some in there. Again, I made damn sure the seal was closed and came back to check the seal half an hour later. Two hours after the coffee was put in there, it was ice cold. This thing doesn't work anywhere near as well as the cheap one I bought before and I totally would NOT recommend this to a friend.

Ordered this for my hot chocolate bar at work for our half and half! Super cute, and keeps the half and half cold for hours!
