LEXUS OEM DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD MOULDING KIT 06-13 IS250 IS350

Trim piece around windshield was dried out and brittle. This OEM replacement took care of the problem. Easy to install, looks much better. Arrived in perfect shape, well protected.

This kit DOES come with the clips (10 total) despite the description. Once finished the car (wife's 08 IS250) looks so much better than the old cracked and deteriorated pieces. It does not come with instructions and an online search is very limited, so here is what I did.Removal: Start at the top with a plastic/non marring screwdriver-like tool and get under the molding and pull away from the clips hidden underneath. It doesn't matter if you break the clips or molding, just don't scratch up your car. The bottom end has two "squeeze" clips in the molding that go into the wiper tray. Look at the new piece for a better understanding. I removed the clips with a metal pick that had a 90 degree tip. One side was more difficult than the other because of windshield sealant. The other side went much quicker. Once the clips are removed clear out any sealant with an X-Acto Knife to make sure the new clips have no obstructions for locking in place. Take your time to limit any scratching down in the track. Vacuum sealant, plastic debris from the track.Install: Push in new clips and you will hear a click. Even if the old ones look fine, use the new ones! Install the new molding starting at the wiper tray area and check that the molding has plenty of room to engage the clips on the way up, it should have plenty either way. Starting at the bottom, press the molding into the clips and work your way up. The top of the molding has a little seal tab that tucks into/under the roof molding where they come together. That is really it, not a hard job and doesn't take but an hour or so depending on removal of the old clips. Once you get the old molding off, you will quickly see what needs to be done.

After buying this product I made an appointment to my mechanic who tried to install this product and they did not fit, now I am trying to return them and the window to return is closed this is absurd because I was sold a product that does not fit!

I used this to replace my old one on my IS250 and it fit perfectly , I never have problems with OEM parts , just make sure you get them from a lexus dealer .

Excellent fit seller was great to deal with. When installing make sure to clip bottom first the l tab needs to clip on to fender in order for the clips to pop in securely. Then just press into your new blue clips from kit. Top of molding rubber tucks under trim. This will all make sense when you install.

Perfect replacement set for my brittle and cracked original trim pieces. Mine came with the 10 clips you need to replace each. Super easy and now the car looks new again.
