As expected
As expected though the plastic holder on one of the eggs isn’t really up to scratch. But hopefully the egg and beads will do the job

Not very effective at all
I dont find that these do much. I have them on windowsills, and they dont seem to have made any difference.

Moisture indicator is unreliable
The silica granules may well absorb moisture but there is no way of telling when they need to be dried out. This is because the indicators on the brackets that hold the eggs turn pink on their own! I have dried out the brackets with no eggs in them on a room radiator and they go blue. However, not long after removing the brackets from the radiator they turn pink indicating the absorption of moisture. Hence whenever the egg is put into the brackets, whether the silica is dry or not, the pink coloration will result. If you want to use these eggs to absorb moisture then I would suggest you buy some "self-indicating" silica and add it to the eggs. The silica will be blue when dry and turn pink when it indicates that it needs drying out. Incidently, pay no attention to the reviewer who said that in the microwave the plastic bung came out and the silica spilt out. The bung should be removed before putting in microwave or oven, and the egg stood upside down in a cup. The oven though is safer to use for this than the microwave. The instructions that come with the eggs are quite clear about what to do.

Item not brand new
First one arrived with the bottom plug missing and silica granules spilt out into plastic wrapping. Second one had obviously been sent back and then resold. Instruction manual was folded inside out and torn and boxes had been re- taped. For this price, I at least expect a brand new item. I have yet to see if it works but not a good first impression.
