Purchase this
I’ve been using the Drinkwell 360 Pet Fountain for my pets, and it’s been a game changer. The stainless steel construction is not only durable but also easy to clean, which is a huge plus. The multiple streams of water encourage my pets to drink more, and it’s quieter than the previous fountains I’ve tried. I also love how it holds a decent amount of water, so I don’t have to refill it as often. It’s definitely an investment worth making for pet owners looking for a reliable and efficient hydration solution.

So far so good!
My cat LOVES this thing! I bought this specifically for when we were on a trip out of town for a week because her water bowl ends up with a layer of fur floating in it and any food she accidentally flings into the bowl while eating. When we're home we sometimes have to dump out and refill her water two times per day, but our pet sitter was only coming to care for her once per day so I figured at least a fountain would constantly be running and filtering the water so she'd constantly have clean water. We set it up the night before our flight and she was very curious and intrigued by the water and light reflections, wanted to paw at it, and it did make her want to drink water but for a few days she would check out the water fountain and then go over to her regular water bowl to drink water from that instead. After a few days, we kept catching her on our pet cams drinking from it. She drank at least a couple of times per day with her regular water bowl, but would sometimes have long bouts where she would ignore it. She has consistently been drinking much more water from the fountain than she ever did with her normal bowl. I had been planning on disassembling and storing it while we were home, but with how much she loves it and how often she drinks from it, even though we're very much lacking when it comes to an adequate amount of power outlets and space in our kitchen, we're keeping the fountain as a permanent fixture, plugged in 24/7. We've only used it for two weeks exactly at this point, so can't speak to any issues with rust, but thus far there isn't any issue with the steel. The filters work great and keep the water clean for a long time. Our pet sitter dumped and replaced the water once while we were gone and we did the same after we got back, I finally disassembled and cleaned it today, so technically we went 2 weeks between cleanings by replacing the water a couple of times, but you are supposed to take it apart and clean it every 7 days. With the stainless steel, it's easy to see when it needs to be replaced and/or cleaned. Steel is the most sanitary material for food and water so I would never consider a plastic fountain anyway. I have several other products from PetSafe that are all good quality so I felt like their fountain would be a safe bet, and so far so good, I'm pleased with it and the quality. The only thing that would make it better is if I could somehow have it be battery powered and if the footprint was even smaller since we have an NYC apartment, but this is actually one of the smaller fountains available so it's not too big. She is pretty skittish when it comes to noises, but the fountain is not loud at all. The only thing we hear is the water trickling (which is good since that helps make her want to drink the water). We can't hear the motor at all, but we do have a constant low hum from our air purifier and fridge and usually traffic and subway noise, so maybe if you live in the middle of nowhere and nothing else in your house makes noise, you might hear it faintly, I wouldn't know.

Cool little thing
This little thing is much nicer than I imagined. It’s sturdy, works great and is the right height and amount of water for my 2 Shelties & Chihuahua. I rinse it and change out the water every day as that’s what I did with their previous bowl. The fountain sound is barely detectable, but a lovely addition to the household. The only reason for 4 stars is that I absolutely can not get the cover open on the white housing to change the filter. Wish it came with a little tool for this. In the meanwhile I’m scouting the house to try and something that will work.

How to keep it running great!
Let me start with writing that this is a great pet fountain. Being made of stainless steel and easy to clean and take apart makes it a wonderful option versus some of the other pet fountains available. There are a few tricks to keep it running great that I've figured out:1. If you have hard water like I do, do not use harsh chemicals to clean the stainless steel because your pets are drinking out of it. You can use a 1:1 vinegar / water solution and I found this works fine, but after time I still get some hard water stains. I use some baking and water paste and let it sit on the stains. I let it soak in and then I scrub it off in the direction of the grain and this will remove the hard water stains in 1 application usually.2. Make sure to have some extra filters on hand. The main filter in the center and the one around the pump don't last as long as I'd like. Make sure to give the carbon filter a good rinse before putting it in because otherwise it will shed some carbon into the water. The smaller filter that goes around the pump deteriorates at about the same rate as the carbon filter so just replace both at the same time, they are cheap.3. For cleaning the pump and the flow tube, use a pipe cleaner for the tube, and some thin pipe cleaners to clean the fins of the pump. I use really hot (scalding) water to flush out the pump as this usually will break up anything that gets caught in it. Flush the pump both directions to get it really clean.4. You can use an air compressor with a nozzle attached to it to blow out the pump and I find this works well if the pump gets too much stuff (fur etc) stuck in it.5. To avoid the plastic clips getting too brittle if yours is exposed to sunlight, you can put a little bit of armor all on the parts that don't go into the water to help those from getting brittle and snapping off at the base which some complain about.6. Throwing the whole thing in the dishwasher works, but I find cleaning it by hand works better. But another hint is if you can, using steam on the stainless steel works really well.I hope this helps!
