Yes you need dish soap, but
For those who want short and to the point reviewYou will need 1 cup of dish soap and a gallon of distilled water minus 1.5 cups, to mix with this powder to make what most of us refer to as 1 gallon of bubble solution. The removal of 1.5 cups of water from the gallon jug gives you the room needed to add the cup of dish soap. Love It! No need to do any math or guess work and you have a container that the solution fits in.I used distilled water and dish soap from the company Melaleuca. I let the solution sit for 12 hours before use.I found this easy to use, it produced great bubble, beautiful rainbow reflection color to them. The bubbles appear to be much stronger than past solutionsi have used produced. The bubbles lasted long past our yard and into the neighbor's.Now my in-depth reviewI probably would have gone with a bit different name for this product. I would have just used Unlimited Bubble Powder or something along those lines. I don't think the name is bad just misunderstood. What I THINK may be the issue is, what most of us refer to as 'bubble solution" may actually be more of a bubble mixture and that the "solution" is the stuff, aka this product, that takes soap and water and gives it the magic it needs to be "bubble solution". Let's face it no matter how much our parents tried to convince us that we could refill that little yellow or blue or green plastic bottle, with dish soap and water and it would work just as well. It never did! Most of the bubbles, made with our parents' "recipe", barley made it off the wound. I believe the maker of this product is possibly using the correct terminology, referring to it as the binding agent (solution) that takes soap and water up a notch. I do not think this was an intentional way to deceive the consumer. The information is all there, you just have to read past the title, which most of us would do if we picked the product up in the store. I promise you, even having to add the cup of dish soap to this you are spending far less money for these bubbles than for others. There seems to be a lot of confutations with the instruction. The maker tries to make it more clear here than what is on the packaging. Really, everybody needs to stop over thinking it and appreciate not having to find a contain to mix in. My guess would be that the next labels ordered, the wording will be changed on.The time the solution needs to sit. It has to sit to dissolve the powder completely. This takes time because you can't shake it. If you don't understand why- take your jug outside, be sure you can hose of the area where you are standing, now go ahead shake it....... Now clean up the mess. You are welcome for the life lesson. I would say just let it sit 24 hours unless you are going to use the Ultra Blue Dawn dish soap. I did lit mine only sit for 12 hours and it seemed to work great. For future I think I will just wait the 24hours to be sure. The last thing I would like to add. You get to choose the scent of your bubbles. You get to use any dish soap you like in any scent you like. It is wonderful. My back yard smelled so good while the bubble machines were running. I found this to be an added bonus for those of us who like smelly good stuff as well as those who are sensitive to smells. No guess. You will know exactly what your bubbles are going to smell like.In all I think the product is great. It seems to me that the negative reviews have nothing to do with the product itself but the marketing. The product is fairly new and the marketing is a work in progress I'm sure. Give the guy a break and just enjoy the bubbles.

The Best Bubble stuff ever!!!
on Tuesday, I decided to make a "bubble station" for the free-time during our week of Bible camp next week. Went looking online for solution, having read about using glycerin or sugar to make dish soap and water work. Totally didn't have time to dink around trying the recipes out. Saw several offerings on Amazon, but this one was what I considered 'affordable', and the directions were surely easy to understand. So I ordered it. I already had some Dawn in the house, so I headed to the store for 12 gallons of distilled water. (hey - the first time, you do it their way...AND I was going to have a station at camp for the kids to play. It has to work correctly). The next day (thank you Amazon prime), my bubble powder arrived. It went together 1-2-3 and was done. Got 3 gallons made, and then was almost out of Dawn. SO (mistake coming) I ordered Sams Members Mark blue dish soap (again, Sams plus, it arrived the next day). 1) yes it does work...but 2) it does NOT stir together as quickly nor easily as the Dawn does. Lots more stirring...and it seemed to me the Sams soap "grew" more than the Dawn does, and all of the mixture would not fit into the gallon jug. I did 3 gallons of the Sams soap. This morning, I went and got some Dawn, and poof, the other 6 gallons are made. Now...I did double the tablespoon for really big bubbles, so of course, that uses more of the mix. I also - on 2 gallons - increased to 2 teaspoons (and that's just me playing around to see what it will do at camp). I have purchased long wands and round wands for the campers to make bubbles with. I also found some ropes - 8 in the pack - for the bigger campers to try if they wish (I wish...and I will). Because it's camp with over 100 campers, and trying not to waste or have a giant mess, I will put a gallon jug in a 5 gallon bucket...because the wands fit right into the water jugs nicely and if it spills, the bucket will contain it. AND it will be on the ground, so the little ones can do it themselves. The larger round wands came with trays that fit specific wands in the set, so that's easy to put on the table (with a bath towel as a cover/catcher of spills). **notice**: do NOT put any of the mixing utensils into your dishwasher without getting all the soap mixture off of them. I put the utensils in my dishpan, and YIKES the bubbles!!! :-) ***2nd notice*** make sure you are NOT on a hard floor. When the bubble land, if many land in the same area, that floor will be slippery, especially if there's other water events around. I plan on having my table out by our lake, but back in the grassy shade. I am so looking forward to next week. We're just going to bubble our way through our free times!!

Greatest bubbles ever!!
We buy this every summer. I use a tablespoon of the powder and apple dawn dish soap. The bubbles are big and amazing! Highly recommend

Works great- but need a LOT of dish soap to make it
Not very cost effective when you consider the amount of dish soap needed to make each batch. And it recommends the batches sit for 24hrs.Overall bubbles were great though

Big bubbles
Works best when hydrated ahead of time, but the wait is worth the massive bubbles!

Very good bubbles. Sufficient. Will buy again
I guess after searching Amazon and reading reviews for several better-than-the-cheap-stuff bubble mixes, I got to where I expected a lot more from this product. It’s easy enough to prepare. Makes very good bubbles. They do well in all of our wands, and pop fairly quickly. A step up from cheap watered down gallons, but I’ve have other, more expensive mixes before that float further. I do like the product though, and will buy again.

Easy peasey
I have searched the net trying to concoct the best bubble recipes. I wish I would have found this mix earlier.I couldn’t wait the recommended time and tried it right away. I used a common bubble wand in the kitchen before even going outside. I also blew bubbles inside of bubbles on the counter. I then went outside and was very happy with the results. I made tubes and waves of medium size bubble’s. When I used my wand for larger bubbles they popped right away. I should note that I live in a very hot dry climate. Also, as I mentioned, this was immediately after making the mix. I am now waiting another day and can’t wait to try them again. I love this mix and will definitely buy it again. 30 gallons of bubble mix doesn’t last that long for me. I love bubbling and I love this mix.
