Switchbot is a low-cost home automation for your blinds
I bought this as an alternative to the Somfy blinds motors I got for my bedroom. The Somfy's are great, fast and quiet but very expensive. Each one was $170. For $170 I got 3 Switchbots for my upstairs home theater room. The Switchbots were very easy to install, although they are visible whereas the Somfy's are invisible (inside the blinds tray at the top). They are Bluetooth instead of WiFi which means long battery life and better reliability. They are quite a bit louder than the Somfy and MUCH slower. But, if you can live with that, they are fine.

Helps open blinds in those hard to reach areas
I recently upgraded my home with the Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds by SwitchBot, and the experience has been nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I unpacked the system, I was impressed by the sleek design and high-quality materials. The setup was remarkably straightforward, even for someone who isn't particularly tech-savvy. The detailed instructions and user-friendly app made the installation process a breeze. The performance of the SwitchBot Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds is where they truly shine. The motor operates smoothly and quietly, offering precise control over the angle of the blinds. With a simple tap on my smartphone or a voice command through my smart home system, I can adjust the blinds to let in just the right amount of light or ensure complete privacy. The convenience of automated schedules means I can program the blinds to open in the morning and close in the evening, seamlessly aligning with my daily routine. One of the standout features is the integration with various smart home ecosystems. Whether you're using Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit, the SwitchBot Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds integrate effortlessly, enhancing the overall smart home experience. The app itself is intuitive and offers a range of customization options, from setting up automation to adjusting tilt angles with precision. The energy efficiency of these blinds is an added bonus. By automatically adjusting to the position of the sun, they help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, reducing the need for heating and cooling. This has already made a noticeable difference in my energy bills. In summary, the Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds by SwitchBot are a game-changer. They combine elegance, functionality, and smart technology in a way that truly enhances the comfort and convenience of any home. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to modernize their living space with reliable and sophisticated window treatments.

Very good, but read the caveats.
Honest review from a person who bought 16 of them.1) I am a smart home tech guy. I have nearly everything connected in my home, 150+ devices and connections. I will give an honest assessment and not from a know it all perspective.2) Installation is really easy. Clipping the gear on the wand is the hardest part and a pair of plyers helps.3) The app seems well built. I like the options for Scenes to build an automation for each blind setting across all blinds.4) Device groups is beta but honestly works fine if YOU ARE WITHIN RANGE.5) The app doesNOT connect to the blinds individually or in groups if you are more than 10-15 feet away. At all. Zero chance.6) Automations seem to work Ok From the app regardless of where you are. Setup a schedule and the blinds will work flawlessly. Want to open one blind from the app from your work? Nope.7) Hubs don't matter. By 11 or buy 1. Same connectivity.8) Buy the remote control. Same proximity issues as the app, but if you create a Scene to move all at once, it works great.9) I spray painted mine to match the blinds and they still connected the same.10). Does not play well with Alexa. At all. Don't bother. Just use the automation and schedules in the app.11) If you have 21 windows on your first floor like me and you want something that just works like clockwork on a schedule, with extremely minimal involvement ONCE setup, and you don't want to pay 350+ per window for something factory installed, this is for you. I would recommend if you are ehhh.. so-so savvy, but not for those who are technically inept.12) I have the window solar battery and after 6 weeks, they are about 15% depleted with 85% remaining. They move 3 times daily.. open, open more, close.

Works great
The device works great. It was also packaged very nicely and came with all necessary parts. The printed instructions were very clear and appreciated. Adding the device to the app, operating, and setting schedules was straightforward as well. The whole experience was very polished and slick.I will say that my rod was in between L and XL size. I initially tried the XL tape but it was too small, so I went with the L piece. It was very tight and I had to clamp it shut using pliers, so be prepared for that if you are in a similar position.Love the solar panel charging. I'll update if I encounter any problems.I think they are kind of expensive for what it is though. Would prefer it around $50.
