this stuff works!
Mix it up, spray it on, and let it dry. No more odor! Even cats, yes, cats. Don;t waste money or time on other products. Just get Odormute powder, mixed as directed in warm water and apply.

Works great but you must follow the directions
If your pet just peed once it works really good. If they have been soaking the carpet and you didn't know.... You will have to do many treatments. To make it correctly without killing the live bacteria's you must use 70° water. That is almost cold water. But if the water is too cold it will not activate. I use a meat thermometer to check the temperature. You must let it melt and dissolve well before applying to the carpet.

Would probably work great if I used it in time
I was very sick a few months back for about a week and didn’t get to the litter box for about four days. That’s all it took for that corner of my apartment to REEK of cat pee since they peed right outside the litter box and on the carpet instead.I have spent MONTHS trying every single remedy I could find including whole bottles of various carpet cleaners, baking soda and vinegar, constant use of my carpet spot cleaner. And I just couldn’t not get rid of the odor.Since it’s kind of been way too long, I think that my results are likely a little skewed since this works best on freshly made odors. That said, I applied like normal and let it sit about an hour. And then I used my spot cleaner to try pull out the liquid. And it was pulling out yellow water! It certainly helped with a bit of the staining in the carpet as well!Is my carpet completely odor free? I’m afraid not. I’ll have to bring in a professional it seems. But did this make the biggest difference in my cleaning endeavors? Absolutely. I hope I won’t have to use it again… but if I do, I’ll have some on hand and be ready to try it on a fresh stain.Note: the box does not come with a lot of powder. Depending on how much you use per batch and how big your spot it, consider a bigger size or buying multiple.

This stuff actually works.
It will kill the odor of dog pee. Depending on how old the stain is, it might take 2 times to get the stain and smell out.

Better than nothing for skunk odor, but still not great.
My dog was sprayed by a skunk and ran through my house before I realized what was happening. I pray that this never happens to anyone else. That's all I can say about that.I've tried so many things to get the smell out... baking soda+peroxide+dish washing liquid, Shaklee H2, straight baking soda, bleach, Nature's Miracle Enzyme treatment, and Odormute. I'm sad to say that NOTHING really truly works. But here's how each of these items stack up.*Baking soda + peroxide + dish washing liquid: worked ok for removing the actual skunk oil from my dog's fur, but barely touched the smell. I had these items onhand at the time (11 o'clock at night) so using them was better than plain soap and water.*Shaklee H2: Didn't harm my dog or any of my bathroom surfaces, but also didn't remove the smell at all.*bleach: I only applied bleach to all surfaces in my bathroom, and I thought, just for a minute or two, that it might have actually worked. Turns out it only covered up the smell for a short period of time. On a positive note, you could have performed surgery on any surface of my bathroom after that. Very clean.Straight baking soda: I sprinkled box after box of baking soda directly on all carpets and rugs in my house, then vacuumed. It did actually remove a lot of the smell. I had to treat about 5 times, and though the smell lingered faintly, the bulk of the odor was eliminated. The fine baking soda dust also seemed to take a lot of the smell out of the air as I was sprinkling it around my house. I combined this technique with opening the windows and letting in lots of air flow, and this seemed to make a decent difference in the smell. However, like the next two products, the smell came back a few hours later. Read on.Nature's Miracle: When I first applied this solution, I thought I had finally found something that might work. Chemically, it seemed to make sense. Skunk odor has sulfur components in it, and the enzymes in the solution claimed to "neutralize" the odor. After applying it to my dog, my carpets, my clothes, and pretty much every surface of my home, the "skunk" smell turned into the smell that your hair has after you get a perm. This gave me a glimmer of hope. Perm solution also contains sulfur components, and the neutralizer treatment during the second half of a perm changes the odor of the first half treatment. I thought for sure this meant that chemically, Nature's Miracle was reacting with the sulfur components of the skunk odor. Well, turns out that it was doing just that, but again, it only lasted about 2 hours. The smell came right back. What a let-down.Lastly, Odormute. Mixed it up, applied it, and got the same after-perm smell as Nature's Miracle. Waited, and sure enough, the smell comes back. To Odormute's credit, I did try several other things first, and because Amazon took 5 days just to process and ship it (PLUS shipping time!), the skunk odor was pretty fully "set" into everything in my house. Had I been able to apply it immediately, I might have gotten better results. Never-the-less, each application does decrease the odor by a little bit. And when it comes to skunk odor, a little bit is better than nothing. Also, it takes much, much less Odormute to treat the same surfaces as Nature's Miracle, so I recommend buying Odormute instead. Here's the bottom line: Nothing but time really truly works to eliminate skunk odor. But, since Odormute does decrease the smell a little more each time you apply it, it's worth having and worth using. It's safe for all surfaces including pets and yourself, so that's nice. I recommend buying it in advance, because when your dog gets sprayed at 11 o'clock at night, YOU NEED SOMETHING, ANYTHING, IMMEDIATELY. Trust me. And bless their little hearts, dogs will find a skunk when you least expect it.

Worth every penny you paid for it
This product absolutely works fantastic. Just know that you have to heat the water before you mix. Get a small towel and soak it in the bucket with the solution and then cover your dog or cat with it. It completely illuminates the skunk smell

Not good at all. Natures miracle is way better.

Great Stuff
I bought this product. In the beginning I was skeptical. I have tried many other formulas that didn't work. I have 6 foster cats and like to have fresh litter pans. Bleach tends to clean but leaves an after bleach odor even when rinsed. This formula removed the odor completely when I used it as directed. This is a great investment for rescuers. I highly recommend this formula. It works.
